Mira Rohan hadn't been at her locker.

Peter Parker had been fully prepared to beg for forgiveness and let her break every bone in his hand as he handed over the sandwich he had picked up from Delmar's this morning, only to spend half an hour waiting beside a locker just waiting for its owner to arrive. Yet she never did. He had called her six times yet was sent to voicemail again and again and when he called Sammy, the boy had told him to go to hell and then hung up.

Apparently, Mira had sent him a brief text explaining what had happened last night and it was safe to say, Sammy was no longer a fan of his.

When the bell had rung and he had walked into AP physics only to spot her normal seat empty, he had caved and called Mr Rhodes who just told him that he had it handled before telling him not to call him again unless someone was dying.

The instant third period ended and there was still no sign of Mira, Peter finally let the panic consume him.

Rushing through the halls, he cursed as he was once again met with a familiar voicemail message.

'Hey, this is Mira, just text me I will get back to you quicker. '

Peter slammed his fist into a nearby locker before clenching his jaw as he waited for the beep "M, come on, I know you are pissed at me, but no one has heard from you in hours." His eyes clenched shut a shaky breath escaping him as all of the worst possible scenarios started to filter through his mind.

What if the Vulture had found her?

What if she hurt from another fight with that kinetic energy guy leaving her half-dead in an alleyway?

What if she had agreed to move upstate just to get away from him?

"Please just...just let me know you're okay. Where you suffer, I suffer right? So, you owe me some suffering for what I said, can't keep our promise if you're not here."

Just as he hung up his eyes quickly landed on Michelle who had taken solitude in the library to avoid all of the homecoming hype.

In the blink of an eye, he had bolted through the library doors, ignoring the sharp glare the librarian shot him for the large noise, focused only on the empty seat opposite Michelle.

"Michelle!"

As his books landed on the table in front of her and he took a seat, Michelle just groaned in annoyance, lifting her book up higher in an attempt to hide her face.

Peter just snatched the book away forcing her harsh glare to focus on him.

"What?"

Shifting slightly as a tremor of fear washed through his body he pushed through the fear and shot her a begging look "Has Mira—"

"Nope." Michelle cut him off snatching her book back and returning to her previous position, desperately trying to wish him out of existence "Sammy tracked her phone, Mr Rhodes went to talk to her."

"Where is she?"

Michelle narrowed her gaze, reluctantly lowering her book down for a second to meet his desperate gaze. While she didn't know what had happened to dramatically shift the relationship between Mira and Peter since Washington, she knew something had happened. Mira never held grudges, she struggled with hating Marcus for that exact reason. If Mira wasn't talking to Peter, someone she was normally tied to by the hip then whatever argument had gone down had to be bad. Whatever had been said had left Mira not speaking to anyone, so it had to have been something that cut deep.

Given Peter was the one looking for her, she knew it wasn't Mira who had made the cutting statement.
