Peter Parker was a kid.

Despite all the power he possessed, strength beyond that of 10 men and agility that could rival a gold medal-winning gymnast, at the end of the day, Peter Parker was a 15-year-old kid. He wasn't an adult who had fought in a war or a genius billionaire with decades of life experience. Only 15 years old, a child who had been through more than most at his age, with power that could corrupt.

One of the very last memories he had of his parents was from the day they had dropped him off with his aunt and uncle. His mother had ruffled his curls and kissed the top of his head before his father Richard Parker had crouched down in front of him promising to see him when they got back from their anniversary trip.

Their plane had gone down over the Pacific on the way to Milan and he had never seen them again.

His last memory of his Uncle Ben had been from the day the man had been shot, an instant moment ending his life for good in the blink of an eye. Another sharp sudden traumatizing death that had almost destroyed Peter...it had almost killed May loosening him.

Peter could still remember the last thing his Uncle had ever said to him. Ben had been dropping him off at school and spotted the boys in the playground who were the cause of the bruises staining his skin that day.

Ben had believed in him, believed he was destined for great things that his heart was powerful and that he would grow to do amazing things with that power.

Peter had held onto his Uncle's words for years and had used them as his main form of motivation when he got bit by that Spider. He helped people because Ben believed in his good heart. He kept fighting because May encouraged him to be strong in his beliefs and he kept trying to learn thanks to Mr Stark lighting a spark under him seeing that he was capable of more.

"If you're nothing without this suit then you shouldn't have it."

The weight on his chest had him gasping in pain as terror rushed through his veins. The building on top of him was crushing his chest.

"Help!" He sobbed out as he tried fruitlessly to push against the thousands of pounds of concrete pressing him down, keeping him trapped in the dirt "I'm down here! Someone please help me!"

No matter what he did, no matter how much he tried to push the weight off him, he couldn't get the debris to budge. He could feel the protective material Mira had created within his suit straining which was probably the main reason he was still alive.

Mira Rohan.

The newest addition to the list of people who had helped shape him into who he was.
