"It's called 34+35 why?" Sam asked, four hours after we started making this song.
"What does thirty four and thirty five add up to?" I ask, waiting for it to clock in his mind.
"Thirty plus thirty is sixty...five plus nine is - oh! Sixty nine. Oh!" He says again, his eyebrows raising in surprise. "You two are actually rabbits," he groans, shaking his head.
"I did message you to warn you," I remind him, because I did. This song was...not very subtle at all.
"I know, I know. I might actually start listening to your warnings from now on," he says quietly, saving the file to his computer. "You know Blue Horizons will hear it tomorrow, don't you?"
I look at him for a second. "I'm not sure if I want this one on the album. I mean, my dad is gonna listen to this shit. I might just keep this one in a locked up tiny vault," I laugh.
"Nah, I reckon it would be a hit. It's got a good beat, it's vibes. You know it would go down a treat on TikTok or some shit like that," he replies, and he's not entirely wrong.
I shrug my shoulders. "Maybe. Depends how I feel, I mean, that makes six songs now. What did Blue Horizons say? Good albums tend to have between ten and fifteen songs on them?"
He nods his head. "That's what they said, yes, but don't be pressured into staying within that limit. If you want more or less, it's your album. Don't forget that."
My phone buzzes, and reminds me of the time.
"Shit! Harry's going to be here any second to pick me up. I need to go," I excuse myself, the time being two minutes to four.
He ushers me up. "Go, go, go! I'll wrap up here. You got anything nice planned?" He asks, but when he sees the smirk that accidentally pops up on my face, I know he regrets asking. "I'm gonna be producing another song about sex next week, aren't I?"
As I would find out later, it was ironic how wrong he would be.
