Just have faith that the book will have a happy ending. But I love setting the mood to align it with my own and unfortunately I am not having a fun time rn so neither are these two sorry xxx

It turned out that I didn't have to lie.

Looking around at all of our friends surrounding us, I suddenly felt very claustrophobic.

"There are photos circling on the internet of Kenzie at the airport on Christmas," Harry says bluntly, sending a wave of shock around the group, along with confused expressions.

"At the airport? I thought you guys came back two days ago?" Faith asked, because that had been the original plan.

"We had a little -" he starts, but I knew that he was going to dance around the topic, and so I stepped in to save the struggle.

"We broke up. For one night, but we worked - we are working through it," I correct myself, not missing the way Harry shoots me a concerned look.

"What the fuck?" Sam asks, looking completely shellshocked.

"Wait - but you guys are together now?" Freya double checks, head looking back and forth between Harry and I.

I grab onto his hand and squeeze. "Yeah. We'll be okay."

Harry's phone began to ring, and he gave me an apologetic look, explaining that it was management and that he had to take it, leaving me with the group.

The other guys filtered off, and soon it was just me, Faith, Freya and Talia in a group, a few metres away from the bar.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Talia asks, ordering a round of shots for us all.

I don't particularly, but I also know that the girls would not drop it until I did, so to save us all some time, I nodded my head.

"The subject of children came up on Christmas Eve, and it turns out that me and Harry had very different opinions of our future," I explain, watching as all three girls' faces dropped.

"Oh, no," Freya said quietly, and her voice sounded sad. "That's pretty big."

"But you got back together?" Talia asks, handing me a full shot glass.

"He got a plane, came to my apartment and said he didn't want to live without me," I recite, the moment as clear as day in my mind.

"Oh, that's sweet," Freya comments, finishing her shot with a grimace. "Well, I'm glad you two are okay. You make the best couple," she smiles, clearly already waved.

Talia isn't far behind her, especially when she shots her drink, too.

The two of them start laughing about something incessant, and I remain by Faith, who has yet to comment on the situation.

"Cheers?" I ask, holding my shot glass up to her, but she remains stony faced, refusing to pick up her shot glass.

"Why the long face?" I ask, genuinely confused.

"I'm just - confused. So you two argued over children, but less than twenty four hours later, Harry has changed his mind completely?" She asks.

I nod. "I mean...when you put it like that -"

"Kenzie, I'm really not trying to sound so negative, it's just that - I'm looking out for you, so don't hate me when I say this, but it's almost impossible that Harry has changed his mind. Are you sure he's not just secretly hoping you'll change your mind? Have you both properly talked this through?"
