Harry's plane was due right now. I'd been waiting at the airport for half an hour already, the anticipation eating me up.
The two weeks had simultaneously flown by, but also dragged without him. I'd been kept busy, which I appreciated because otherwise I would've been in my head thinking about everyone back home.
But in the meantime, I'd met Taylor, we'd talked about my music, and how she'd discovered me in the first place.
As it turned out, one of her dancers had been listening to my song Dress, and Taylor had heard it. That was how she'd first started listening to me.
In her own words, 'how I'd become a fan of yours'. Hearing that from someone I'd looked up to for most of my own life felt crazy, and almost like I was living in a dream.
I'd had to ask Sam to pinch me at least once a day.
The set list was complete, too. It was a thirty minute performance, and I was on right before Taylor.
The songs we'd chosen were fan favourites from the last tour, but also some new songs too.
I'd been busy these last two weeks. And I'd kept Sam busy, too. We'd rented out a studio on one of my free days, and in a few hours I'd written a new song, that I'd named Juno.
"Definitely your horniest song yet. I mean — you have fun when your dad hears this song Ken," he'd laughed at the time.
And then there had been organising the set list. It had been difficult to choose which songs I would and wouldn't play, but there were a lot of shows, and I could always add in or take away songs as I pleased.
"Okay, so we start off with — Dress, then your newest Birds of a Feather, then transition into Juno, then the boy is mine, then a quick talking break, followed by Lost Without You, hate to be lame, Be The One, Bed Chem, and finally, Nonsense," Sarah, who was basically my boss for this tour.
