(For anyone wondering what the actual hell happened to y/n's car, Taylor took it home ;)

We've been driving for about 20 minutes, when I suddenly shudder, very obviously.

"You cold?" Jeremiah asks me.

"No, I'm fine." I smile.

Suddenly I get a jumper passed over to me, in my size, but not my jumper.

"Thank you." I say to Con as I put it on.

Jeremiah makes a pouty face and doesn't look away from the road for a minute, so I play some music.

'Free fallin' Fills the car.

I grin and so does Jeremiah.

We both begin to sing.

When it gets to just before the chorus, I look back at Conrad, who seems unamused, until a smile flashes across his face, and he joins us.

"Fuckin' idiots." Conrad chuckles.

I accidentally squeal with laughter.

A little while later, we arrive at Brown.

"You got this, bro." Jere tells him.

"Yeah, you're gonna do great, it's fine if you don't but, you will, Conrad."

Jere drives me to Finch, and shows me around his campus.

"Hey, I forgot to ask but when are your exams?"

"I'm English literature, remember? I did my writing pieces progressively over the year."

"Oh, yeah, cool."

Eventually, he takes me to the Finch soccer pitch, and I stare at it in awe.

"I wish Brown had one, then when I move there this year I could play."

"You're moving to Brown?"

"I haven't told many people that yet."

"That's really cool."

"Yeah."

"Do you miss playing soccer?"

"Not really."

"Y/N."

"I mean of course I do, I just wish I didn't blow it on my home team."

"What actually happened? If you don't mind me asking?"

We sit down on the nearby grass.

"I didn't show up to I think, eight games, without notice."

"Oh, yeah that'd probably get you kicked off."

"Mhm."

"Why didn't you show up?"

"I just, I couldn't, I um," I almost tell him, but I have some fear that he'll bring it up at the wrong time, or take it as a joke.

The truthful thing would be, 'Your Mom died and I couldn't leave the house without throwing up or having to sit down on my front lawn for half an hour! So I couldn't make it to any games! Also, your brother and I had a horrid breakup, so I was in pieces.' But all I tell him is,

"It was just too much to handle." I smile.

"I get that," He pauses. "I have an idea, wanna buy a Finch hoodie?"

"I'm saving my money at the moment, you know I since I wanna move in."

"You sure?" He grins.

"Okay, fine, I'll buy one." We head to the shop.

"Can I give you some advice?"

"Yeah."

"I get that, my Moms death is an awful thing, I mean, I know, but you can live your life being sad, you know, sometimes bad things happen and you have to keep on going, just carry on."

"That's good advice, Jere."

"I'm a master." He smiles and I return it.

After I buy the hoodie, we drive back to Brown, and wait for Conrad to come out of his exam.

"Y/N, Just so you know, I would give you a second chance, as long as you wouldn't change your mind like last time."

"Jere."

"Do you want me?"

"Jeremiah."

"Y/N, I still need you."

"Jere." I sigh.

"I know that you've always dreamed of Conrad, but dreams aren't real, don't you want something real?"

"I."

"Y/N do you still think about me?"

I nod my head slightly, because I don't know what else to do.

"I do too."

He cups my cheek and starts kissing me, and I want to let go, I do slightly pull back, but something comes over me and I kiss him back, it's tense, very tense, but I go on, for a few seconds.

Suddenly, whatever came over me mere moments ago, vanishes and I push him off of me, just as I do, I look to my right, and see a dead-faced Conrad, appear and his expression is full with disappointment.

'You should've said no, you should've gone home, you should've thought twice before you let it all go.'
