We sat beneath the ancient, three-hundred-year-old tree—its thick branches casting dappled shadows over the grass, the wind humming low like a forgotten lullaby. Taehyung lay with his head in my lap, his soft hair slipping through my fingers as I gently caressed him.

“So, They were your parents’ old friends,” I murmured, more to myself than to him.

A sudden voice broke the calm.
“Aah! I hate that Sanah.”

Startled, I looked to my side. Jungkook had appeared out of nowhere, settling beside me with a huff.

“Woah! Kook, you just teleported here,” I said, amused by his sudden arrival.

He shot me a glance, his expression instantly softening. “How beautiful my name sounds from your mouth,” he said with a smile—before his face scrunched up in irritation. “Unless it’s her saying it.”

“Sanah?” I tilted my head, curious. “Now who’s that?”

“His lover,” Taehyung chimed in, smirking without even lifting his head.

“Lover?” I repeated, my tone colder than I intended. “You mean… she loves him?”

“But I don’t like her!” Jungkook said hastily, his brows furrowing. “I only love you, my Wolfie. She’s just—ugh—irritating.” He sighed and threw his head back in frustration.

I reached over and took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “Ooh, I see… It’s okay, Kook. Just a matter of a week or two. Then she’ll be gone.”

A sly grin spread across Jungkook’s face. “Taehyung has a lover too.”

“Uhm… that—” Taehyung let out a nervous laugh, avoiding my eyes.

“Yes, that?” I narrowed my gaze, peering down at him.

“She’s ten times more annoying than Sanah,” he grumbled. “And her voice—god—it’s so high-pitched it could shatter glass. My poor eardrums.”

I burst out laughing, watching their equally sulky, dramatic faces.

Still chuckling, I felt Taehyung snuggle closer, burying his face into my stomach. “You’re so warm, Y/naah,” he mumbled, arms tightening around my waist like I was the only anchor he needed.

“Well, of course I am,” I said, ruffling his hair with a grin. “I’m a wolf, after all.”

“Wolf!” Jungkook echoed, eyes lighting up. “Yes—you are a wolf!”

“So?” I giggled at his childlike excitement, the corners of my heart softening at the way their presence filled the air like sunlight.

“I wanna see your wolf form,” Jungkook said suddenly, brushing grass from his jeans as he stood up. He extended a hand toward me, his eyes gleaming with boyish excitement. “I’ve never seen it.”

Taehyung rose beside him, his expression mirroring Jungkook’s curiosity.

“Like... right now?” I asked, slipping my hand into Jungkook’s and letting him pull me to my feet.

“Yes, right now!” Taehyung’s voice was laced with anticipation.

I hesitated, tugging at the hem of my shirt. “But I don’t have any spare clothes. If I shift now, they’ll be ruined... and when I turn back, I’ll be—well—naked.”

At that, slow smirks crept across both of their faces.

“Is that so?” Taehyung murmured, sliding an arm around my waist and pulling me close.

“Taeeee!” I whined, playfully swatting his chest. He let out a soft chuckle, clearly enjoying my flustered state.

“I’m serious, guys.”
