"Y/n baby, please... Let's hang out in the woods tonight."
Jungkook whined, trailing after me as we stepped out of college. The final bell had rung, but he wasn't letting up.

"No means no." I sighed, keeping my pace steady.
"Did you forget? Jimin has his hawk eyes on me. And my mother made it very clear-I need to go straight home after classes."

"Make an excuse," he pleaded, grabbing both my hands in his.
"Say you've got a duo project with Yumi or something. Just a little lie, baby..."

I sighed again, my heart aching at his hopeful expression.
"I want to be with you, Kookie. But I can't. Mom doesn't trust me anymore... and Jimin agreed to be her loyal puppy without hesitation. I've lost all their trust. I'm sorry, love."

He pouted before a smirk curled on his lips.
"Fine. But then I want something in return."

"In return?" I raised an eyebrow. "And what is it you want?"

"Kiss me. On the lips. For at least two minutes." He pulled me flush against his chest, one arm wrapping around my waist.

"People are watching," I whispered, my cheeks burning.

"So what?" he shrugged, leaning in. "I'm just kissing what's mine."

And with that, Jungkook claimed my lips-soft, slow, intoxicating. I tried resisting, but when it came to Jungkook, I was never strong enough. I melted into the kiss, fingers curling into his shirt.

Neither of us noticed the piercing eyes watching us from a distance-eyes filled with unspoken hurt.

"Four minutes and twenty-three seconds," a voice cut through the air, low and sharp.

Before I could react, Taehyung pulled me away from Jungkook, his grip firm around my wrist.

"Taehyung!" I gasped.

"Waee..." Jungkook groaned, reaching for me again, but Taehyung slapped his hand away with a soft scowl, then pointed toward the college's main entrance.

I blinked. "What's there?"

"Sanah?" Jungkook mumbled under his breath.

At the entrance stood a stunning girl with long black hair cascading over a white floral sundress. She was waving in our direction, but her smile... didn't reach her eyes.

"Hey, Jungkook. Taehyung," she greeted softly, her voice calm but brittle.

"What are you doing here, Sanah?" Jungkook asked coldly even though he already read her mind, his tone so emotionless it gave me chills.

"Your mother asked-well, forced-me to pick you up after school. Said you needed to accompany me to the mall for shopping." She kept her gaze down, eyes glued to her shoes.

"I'm not going," Jungkook replied flatly. "Go on your own. Tell mom I went hunting after."

"Jungkook!" I whisper-yelled. "That's no way to talk to someone."

"It's fine," Sanah murmured with a weak smile. "I'm used to it... Miss?"

"Y/n. I'm Y/n," I offered a small smile and extended my hand for a shake.

"Our girlfriend. Park Y/n," Jungkook added quickly.

Sanah blinked. "Our...?"

"Yes. Our," Taehyung confirmed without hesitation.

"Oh," she said, masking her pain with a tight-lipped smile as she shook my hand.

But the second our palms touched-I felt it.
A storm of emotion.
Thirty-six years. Thirty-six years she'd loved Jungkook. Quietly. Selflessly. Watching from the shadows.
