As we moved toward the stairs, a deep, manly voice called out from behind. It felt oddly familiar, like I had heard it somewhere before. Curiosity got the better of me, and I turned around. The moment my eyes landed on the man, my body froze in place.

"Won’t you introduce your girlfriend to me, Taehyung?" he said, smirking at me.

"He is Choi Hansoek, my father’s friend," Taehyung said through gritted teeth, his jaw tightening. His words snapped me out of my frozen state. I gave the man a slight bow and forced a smile, though my blood was boiling with rage. All I wanted was to snap his head off with my claws.

As I stood there, murdering the man in my mind, Taehyung's voice gently pulled me back to reality.

"Let’s go," he said with a smile, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

In Taehyung and Jungkook’s room:

"Your room is really beautiful—especially that area." I pointed towards the couch placed in front of the large window. "The view from there is so mesmerizing."

“What is it?” Taehyung asked, suddenly back-hugging me.

“What?” I turned toward him with a confused expression, raising my brows.

“You’re forcing that smile. I can’t read your mind, but I can read your body language. You’re tense. When you entered the house, your smile was genuine… but ever since you hugged my mother, it’s been fake.” He gently caressed my hair.

"You... you never wanted to be vampires. But those vampires forced you and your family to become one. Then they used you all as vassals..." A tear rolled down my cheek.

“Don’t cry, Wolfie. That’s in the past. We already took revenge on them by killing them,” Jungkook said as he entered the room.

“No, we haven’t taken our revenge yet. They were just puppets of that fucker—Hansoek,” Taehyung growled, his jaw clenched and eyes blazing with rage.

“Hansoek? Your father’s friend?” I asked, eyes widening in shock.

“Yes. Hansoek. He’s the one who ordered those vampires to turn us into the monsters we despise the most. Because of him, we killed innocent humans—just to satisfy our thirst for blood,” Jungkook confessed, guilt evident in his eyes.

“It’s not your fault, Kookie. It’s that sinner’s deeds that ruined your lives… and my mother’s too.”
Yes, he's the motherfucker who killed my grandmother, I thought bitterly.

“But I’m glad about one thing—and that’s meeting you both.”
I smiled at Jungkook and opened my left arm for him as my right was wrapped around Taehyung, gently caressing his back.
“Come here, let me give you a tight, warm hug.”

“How badly I wish I could go back to being human,” Jungkook mumbled into my neck.

“I miss those days... when you, me, and Bora used to roam freely around our village,” Taehyung added with a sad smile.

“You guys are really strong. If only I could turn you back into humans,” I murmured, mostly to myself—but they both heard it.

“Your warmth is enough for us, Wolfie. Don’t be upset.”
They both pulled away from the hug and smiled at me.

“So, do you like our room?” Jungkook asked with his alluring smile.

“She liked it. Right, love?” Taehyung added with a soft smile.

“Yes, I loved it. It’s so beautiful—and two times bigger than my room. And the best part is... this room smells like both of you. It calms my nerves,” I beamed and walked toward the window.
