After school, Jongho sulkily trudged home by himself. He'd very unceremoniously told Mingi and Yunho to fuck off when they'd asked if he wanted to hang out and smoke with them.
Jongho wasn't far from his house now and he could hear Yeosang and San behind him, their voices muffled by the distance and the fact that Jongho was doing his best to tune them out.
"Little bear!"
Jongho rolled his eyes and slowed down but didn't stop, looking over his shoulder to see San slightly jogging towards him. He caught Yeosang's eye for a second and felt like crap when the elder broke eye contact first, fleetingly walking up the porch steps and entering his own house.
"You could at least pretend to be pleased to see me" San grinned cheekily "Y'know some people would kill to come home to this face, Jjong"
"San, shut the fuck up"
"Still in a mood, huh?!" the elder raised an eyebrow as they entered the house.
"Wow, you're so perceptive" Jongho sneered "Really, San you've outdone yourself"
"Really?"
"No, fucker"
"Who cares about being perceptive anyway? You don't need to be perceptive when you look this good" San smirked at his own reflection in the hallway mirror, flexing his muscles and running a hand back through his perfectly styled hair "I'm too blessed to be stressed, baby"
Jongho ignored him and dragged himself up the stairs instead, barricading himself in his room before flopping on the bed face first. He sighed a little and turned his face, instantly wishing he hadn't because his eyes landed on one of Yeosang's tiny sparkly clips on the bedside table.
He groaned into the pillow and wished that he could make sense of what the fuck was going on right now. Who knew this whole feelings thing would be so hard? Why wouldn't Yeosang talk to him? Why was everything so complicated?
He had too many questions and not enough answers and to be brutally honest the whole thing was really starting to get to him. Screw Mingi and Yunho, they always complicated everything. Mingi and Yunho. Maybe he shouldn't have declined their invite so hastily. Whatever, it was done now.
He just wished he knew what was going on in Yeosang's pretty little head.
In his own house, Yeosang sighed and backed away from the window where he'd been peeking through the curtains and watching Jongho. The younger looked miserable to say the least.
Yeosang was feeling pretty miserable himself due to the fact that he felt everyone was keeping secrets from him.
This hadn't been the first time that Jongho was keeping things from him and it was starting to get frustrating. Yeosang was a patient person but there was only so much patience he could take when he felt like he was being directly affected by whatever was on Jongho's mind. It hurt worse because he genuinely liked Jongho and he thought Jongho liked him too but obviously not if he couldn't even tell him how he felt. The younger had been acting so shifty around him that Yeosang had decided to avoid him all together due to the irritation it was causing him.
Then there was San and Wooyoung who kept disappearing off randomly. Whenever he'd ask them where they'd been they'd just come up with some lame excuse that Yeosang could tell was a lie. He couldn't even vent to Wooyoung about the Jongho situation because he was always either with San and then with Yeonjun. He was happy that Wooyoung was getting to know Yeonjun but he wished that Wooyoung could make time for him as well.
Being excluded was the worst possible feeling for Yeosang and nearly everyone around him was excluding him. It felt horrible.
"Yeosanggg!" Seonghwa sang as he waltzed into Yeosang's room, Hongjoong in tow as per usual "How's my darling cousin doing on this fine afternoon?"
"I'm okay" Yeosang allowed himself to be wrapped into a warm hug, squishing his face into Seonghwa's body. In the background, Hongjoong made himself comfortable against Yeosang's sanrio plushies, settling inbetween them. Yeosang didn't dare laugh at him thought the sight of the elder dressed in full black yet surrounded by everything pink and fluffy was hilarious.
"You sure?" Seomghwa queried gently "I know I'm your cousin but you can talk to me about Jongho if you need to, Yeoyeo"
"I'm sure" Yeosang gave him a tiny smile. He knew better than to tell Seonghwa if he had problems concerning Jongho. The elder would have Hongjoong on his case in the blink of an eye and Yeosang wouldn't wish that on his worst enemy "Jongho and I are good"
"Do you need me to kill him?" Hongjoong asked tonelessly, slowly stroking a hello kitty doll. Yeosang wasn't entirely sure if the elder was joking.
"Hongjoong!" Seonghwa admonished "You're scaring him!"
"Oh" Hongjoong blinked as if he was confused as to why Yeosang would be scared of that question.
"Anyways" Seonghwa turned back to Yeosang "You're coming to the party aren't you?"
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world"
"Perfect! A party is exactly what you need" Seonghwa smiled "We'll have you right as rain in no time"
