Adelia

Adelia has spent her life using her skating as a way to glorify God. She can still remember the moment she stepped on the ice and felt the Holy Spirit move her.

Adelia has tended to struggle with trusting in God's plan. She tends to worry about the future despite her knowing that God's plan is inevitable.

In the past couple of years things in Adelia's life have been changing she has strayed away from certain people but has been feeling a pull to something else, something better.

Adelia's alarm clock goes off at 8 am. She wakes up and turns it off.

"Good morning God, thank you so much for keeping me and my family safe throughout the night".

She grabs her phone and rolls over reading her morning prayer and daily devotional. She gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom and then heads downstairs for breakfast.

She takes out some bagels and puts them in the oven and then makes eggs and bacon. She was buttering the bagels when her older brother came downstairs.

"Smells good what's for breakfast" said James going to touch a piece of bacon when Adelia stopped him.

"Soap, go wash your hands." "How do you know that I already didn't".

Adelia gives her brother a look before he dramatically sighs and heads to the bathroom to wash his hands.

"Good morning sweetheart," Adelia's mom says as she comes downstairs.

"Good morning Mom."

"What are you making and why are you making it."

"I made bacon eggs and cheese bagels because I wanted to make my mom breakfast," said Adelia putting a plate in front of her mom.

"Thank you looks good."

"So did you only cook for Mom or did you decide to feed your only brother too" said James coming back into the kitchen.

"Your plate is on the counter by the stove," said Adelia going to sit beside her mom on a stool at the counter.

"Yes! Thank you," he said immediately going to get his food.

"Adelia do you want to say grace" said Adelia's mom.

"Yes of course. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for this meal that we are about to receive, and thank You for allowing us to be together to eat it. God, I ask that You please purify, nourish, and sanctify this food and please don't let it do any harm to our bodies. Also, I ask that You give us this day our daily bread and let Your will be done in our lives and on earth as it is in Heaven. Our kind, loving Heavenly Father thank You so much for everything and in Jesus' name we pray, amen."

They begin to eat when James asks Adelia "Adelia do you mind if I bring a friend to your competition."

"Of course not, but what friend are you bringing."

"His name is Callum he is on the hockey team with me."

"Sure it's fine he can have my extra ticket," said Adelia getting a feeling that something was about to happen.

After they finish eating they head upstairs to get ready for Adelia's competition.

Adelia heads to her room and picks out a comfy outfit because she would have to change once she got to the stadium.
