Callum didn't realize how long he was sitting with Adelia until the coach at the rink blew his whistle in Callum's face. He opened his eyes and furrowed his brows.
"Training is over get out of my rink, you guys cause me more trouble than my middle school team" the coach says walking away murmuring.
"I'm going to go get changed I'll be right back" he says to Adelia handing her back her headphone.
"Ok" she smiles slightly and gets up.
He gets up walking to the locker room and going to get changed.
After Callum gets changed he grabs his bag and goes to walk out when someone grabs his arm. He turns and sees that it's James.
"What's going on?" he asks looking at James hand on his arm. James lets go of his arm. "What were you talking about with my sister."
"She was helping me with some things about my faith."
"And that's all?"
"Yes" Callum reassures him.
"Callum if you do start to like my sister just let me know first the last thing I need is a friend trying to get with my sister behind my back again."
"Ok."
James nods at Callum and then walks out of locker room.
Callum heads out of the locker room seeing Adelia and James waiting for him.
"Ready to go?" Adelia asks standing up with her stuff.
"Yeah come on."
They go to walk out when they get stop by 2 guys from the hockey team.
"What do you two want?"
"We just wanted to introduce ourselves to the pretty lady. I'm Evan and this is Deacon."
"I'm Adelia it's nice to meet you."
"So Adelia do you like ice cream because I know a great place down the street."
"Are you really hitting on my sister in front of me" James pulls Adelia back a little bit from Evan.
"I didn't realize she was your sister."
"Well she is and too young for you"
"How old are you" he asks Adelia cautiously.
"17."
"Ok folks it was so nice to see you. I'll be on my way before I catch a case" Evan walks away quickly.
"Nice to meet you Adelia I'll see you around" Deacon says backing up to walk away.
"Ok see you around." She turns to James once Deacon walks away.
When Callum sees the way that Deacon looks at her he stands a little closer to her almost like he was reminding her that he was there.
"He was very distraught how old is he?" Adelia questions.
"Evan is 20 and Deacon just turned 19."
"Ok" she drawls out. "I want to go home" she turns and walks to the front door.
James and Callum follow her. They get on the truck and Callum drives them back to James and Adelia's house. The whole car ride was silent.
Callum pulls into the driveway and turns off the engine.
"Hey Adelia you can go into the house I need to talk to Callum about something."
"Ok, thanks for taking us to and from Callum. I'll see you around?"
