Adelia
Adelia hears the doorbell ring and rushes to answer.
"Great your here come on" Adelia grabs Callum's hand and pulls him into the house.
"The house looks great" Callum looks around admiring the decorations all over the house. "My mom's been up since this morning decorating."
Adelia walks into the kitchen with Callum following her. Adelia already had all of the ingredients laid out.
"Ok let's pray," Adelia says with her hands out. Callum grabs her hands, they bow their heads, and close their eyes.
Callum starts the prayer "Father God, thank You so much for today and the opportunity that we have to make food and share it with others. Jesus, please help us make these cupcakes and let them taste really good. Thank You so much for everything, God. In Jesus' name, we pray amen."
"Amen," Adelia says. They both lift their heads and open their eyes to find themselves staring into each other's eyes. They both look away and let go of each other's hands.
"Ok let's do this" Adelia grabs her apron and puts it on. She grabs another one and hands it to Callum.
"What is this?" Callum asks looking at it funny.
Adelia laughs "It's an apron you don't want to mess up your clothes, do you? Put it on."
Callum puts it on, looks down at the apron, and sees flowers all over it. "Really?" He asks.
"What? You look stylish" she giggles at the sight of a 6 foot 2 muscular man standing in a flower apron.
"Ok, let's do this," Callum says tying his apron. They begin making the cupcakes starting with making the batter from scratch.
After they finish the batter Callum looks over at Adelia and sees that she has flour on her face.
"Oh you have a little something right here" he gestures to the side of his face. She goes to wipe it off but only ends up making it worse due to the flour she has already on her hands.
Callum grabs her hand to stop her from continuing to put more flour on her face and make it worse.
"Oh Callum you have something on your face too right here," she says dipping her finger into the batter and wiping some of it on Callum's cheek.
"Oh no you didn't," he says shocked.
"Yes I did" she smiles. Callum's hand lets go of hers and he tickles her side. She squeals and jumps away from him. He chases her continuing to tickle her.
"Stop" she laughs out. "Say sorry," he says continuing to tickle her. "Ok ok, I'm sorry." He stops tickling her and moves her back over to the counter.
"Ok now let's finish these cupcakes before your mom comes in here." They poured the batter into the pan and then put it in the oven.
While they waited for the cupcakes to finish baking they got themselves cleaned up. Then when the timer went off they grabbed the cupcakes out of the oven and left them to cool off.
They went to sit down and lay back on the couch. They just sat there in silence for a while until Adelia felt Callum grab her hand.
Adelia had been so caught up in the cupcakes that she forgot that Callum would be leaving soon.
God, what am I going to do? I like him Abba I really do but he's going back to college and I have no idea when I'll see him again. Please help me, God. Please guide me, Lord.
