What is wrong with me?

It's been nearly two months since I had seen or spoken to Sara. On so many occasions I wanted to call or message her and apologise for what I said. I wasn't proud of saying those things and telling her not to come back, I didn't mean it.

But anger takes you in a completely different direction. For me, it felt like I was taken over and had no thought process before saying what I did. Part of me felt let down, she should have known that her decision would have an impact on me. Perhaps I was being selfish? Maybe I should have supported her and just got over this whole thing with Finn.

But right now, things were hit and miss in my life. The hit was getting to know Hudson a little better. After I had shown him around, we started to hang out and do things together. It was nice. Dana and Lana continuously wound me up and would comment about what a 'lovely or cute couple' we made. But I wasn't ready for that.

Hudson was gorgeous though, there was no doubt about that. He had a kind and delicate soul who made me feel comfortable and valued, something I haven't always felt, especially in the last few months. I always looked forward to meeting him and tonight was one of those nights, he had invited me to Clare's (his Mum) 40th birthday party.

I was so nervous walking into a hall full of people I did not know. But once I had met his brother and his parents, it was nice and relaxed.

The hall was decorated beautifully, with several lights surrounding the ceiling like stars twinkling above us. There was a big balloon arch with a backdrop displayed 'Clare is 40!' which was set up perfectly for photos. The DJ also has his own lights dancing on the floor as he blasted his playlist.

"What would you like to drink?" Hudson asked as we stood at the bar. I scanned the bottles behind the bartender and decided on a Gin and lemonade. As we waited for our drinks, I began to watch everyone in the hall. Some were dancing, mainly the young children of the family and some were sat. I could see Hudson's grandparents sat talking, he had mentioned he wanted to introduce me which was sweet, but also made me a little anxious. "Here.."

"Thanks." I smiled as I took my large glass from him.

"So, how many do you think we will need to get you relaxed?" He smirked playfully as he held his drink up and gently clinked it on my glass.

"I am relaxed." I nudged him and he smiled. "What are you drinking?"

"Disaranno and coke." He said before sipping his drink. "I hope you feel okay coming to this?" His question threw me off a little as I looked down at my drink.

"Sure, it's nice to do something." I looked up at him and he nodded as he continued to drink.

I looked over once more as lots of his family members were talking away, some started to make their way towards the bar.

"Hello my Darling. I'm Angie, Hudson's favourite Auntie." A dark haired lady said with a posh accent. I looked at her and instantly admired her beauty. She had dark natural curls and beautiful caramel coloured eyes. I couldn't help but envy her gorgeous sun kissed skin, I almost felt a little speechless.

"More like my cheeky auntie who is always smiling and laughing." Hudson answered and she laughed as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"He just knows he can't admit the truth here. Anyways, lovely to meet you." Angie said as she reached forward and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Thank you, lovely to meet you too." I answered as she stood back at looked at me. I glanced at Hudson and smiled.

"What a stunning girl you have, Huds." As she said this I couldn't help but chuckle as she looked at Hudson, he tried to speak but she continued, "About time he met a nice girl, he's not had a good history have you my love?" Angie added as she looked back at me. I just nodded and quickly took a sip of my drink. I suddenly felt relieved when the bartender was asking who next and she quickly darted forward.
