Harry and Ron exited the floo at once, but the red-head managed to side-step a pile of books on the floor that the brunette just didn't notice and tripped over.

"Are you alright?" Ron asked as he helped the brunette up. Harry didn't answer him; the brunette was too shocked to say anything once he saw the room. There were books thrown everywhere, many of them with multiple bookmarks, all of them about veelas. A copy of Draco's medical file was on the table where Hermione was sitting, quickly leafing through yet another book. The red-head nudged Harry towards the table as well and the brunette obliged, sitting across from the witch. Both of them started at Harry for two minutes, presumably wanting an explanation for why he had gone quiet.

"'Mione, Ron...I...I-it's been 24 hours since the doctor diagnosed him. How did you have the time to-" he started, but was cut off by Ron's laugh.

"Correction, mate. It's been 24 hours since the doctor diagnosed him. 'Mione's been lookin' for Malfoy's illness for months, you know, since you asked her? You also told us a week ago that he's a veela, which led to the mess that's currently in the room. Did you really think we'd let you do this by yourself?" the red-head explained, sounding a little hurt as he asked the question.

Well...Yeah.

"You didn't exactly react very...well to finding out we were together," Harry said quietly, not knowing what else to say to that. Hermione started to laugh from behind her book.

"It's nothing compared to how he reacted when I thought I was pregnant last year," she said. Ron's eyes darted between the two of them.

"Well, I don't like stuff sprung on me, alright?!" he said with a huff, "Mate, St. Mungo's called us and told us to be there when you woke up because your mate was dying and it wouldn't be wise to leave you alone. I thought the patronus was lost for a second there. I mean...mate? Dying? Veela? Heartbreak? You hadn't even told us it was that serious between you two. As far as I knew Malfoy was tricking you somehow. I was just looking out for you, okay? Sorry."

With that, the red-head crossed his arms in front of his chest, and leaned back in his chair, averting his gaze. Harry let Ron's words sink in for a moment as the brunette looked at Hermione's focused expression. His friends were bending over backwards to help him. He shouldn't have expected otherwise. Suddenly, the brunette felt like crying. He fought the urge as much as he could.

"You alright there, mate?" Ron asked after seeing Harry's expression. The brunette nodded, whipping a stray tear from his cheek.

"Yes. I am. I just-thank you, both of you...for everything," he said firmly, then cleared his throat. They both just smiled at him.

"You'd do the same for us," Hermione said gently, before slamming a heavy file in the middle of the table without warning, causing both guys to jump in their seats.

"Geez, 'Mione. Warn a bloke, will ya?" Ron said, placing a hand on his chest. The witch rolled her eyes, then quickly found the page she was looking for and pointed at a picture of a garden with a caption that read Home of the Veela .

"This is where past HeartBreak cases have been taken. Malfoy needs to go there," she said firmly, pushing the file towards Harry, who immediately took the picture out of it, flipping the page over multiple times to see if it had any addresses on it. It didn't, so Harry rummaged through some other portions of the file, looking for any other mention of the Home of the Veela. There were none; the file was filled with the miserable rantings of a clearly depressed veela who wanted their mates and felt like their lives were unbearable without them. The Auror's green eyes snapped to the witch sitting across from him. He was beyond grateful that she had gotten the file, but he never thought the witch was capable of violating her healer oath.
