Friday afternoon when Simone decided to meet her two close friends in their favorite coffee shop near the school where she and Julien works, how many days did she practice the word "I'M PREGNANT" three? five days? she took a deep breath as she looked around inside the coffee shop there weren't many people inside.
Is she nervous? yes! she's completely nervous, she didn't even sleep well last night. It gets even more colder as she imagine their reaction. Naturally, those two will be surprised especially Jordan. Because all they know she always hangs out in her studio and has no time for men, that's true yes!
She glanced at her wrist watch she had been hanging out inside for over thirty minutes and she's already losing her patience, where are those two and did they take so long to come? she turned her attention to her phone when it vibrate, she took it and read the few messages from Lewis.
The daddy of your baby:
-I just got home from training :)
-How are you feeling mommy?
-I mean the mommy of my baby ;)
"hello?"
Simone jumped when someone whispered in her right ear she quickly turn off her phone "you b*tch!" Julien laughed and sat across to her.
"you are looking at your phone very seriously you didn't notice us right away" Jordan said as she sat next to Julien "so, how are you guys? it's been a week. I miss Paris so much! but I will miss L.A more"
"busy" Julien answered "so much works needs to get done this week" he added, turning his attention to Simone.
"how about you, Simone?" Jordan asked.
"sh-should we order first?" Simone said, looking at the menu avoiding their eyes.
"did you just stutter?" she shook her head quickly trying to look normal.
"no?"
Julien and Jordan stared at each other, confused, then turned their attention back to Simone. "Alright, we should order first" Julien said
Jordan nodded, though her eyes remained fixed on Simone. "Yeah, let's get some coffee. It'll give us a chance to catch up and hear what’s been going on with everyone."
They each took a moment to study the menu, but the air was thick with unspoken questions. Simone could feel their eyes flicking back to her periodically, the can feel the tension. She knew they sensed something was up and that they were holding back their questions out of respect.
Julien cleared his throat as the barista approached. "I'll have a cappuccino, please," he said, then glanced at Simone. "And for you?"
"I'll have a chamomile tea please" Simone replied, trying to keep her voice steady. The soothing tea might help calm her nerves.
Jordan ordered a latte and slice of chocolate cake, and the barista nodded, scribbling down their orders before retreating to prepare the drinks. As soon as the barista walked away, Julien leaned forward, his eyes searching Simone's face.
"So, what do you want to tell us? is that too serious? I got really scared you just chatted on our group chat at three in the morning"
"what the f*ck? why do I feel nervous?" Jordan said while she looked at Simone and Julien "is this about your health? are you going to die?"
"No!" Simone rolled her eyes at Jorda questions "i-it's just about ugh—f*ck you! I'm not going to die"
Simone leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms, she gulped as she stared at their faces she took a deep breath once again she had rehearsed this moment countless times and now this is the right time, she shut her eyes before blurting the words she wanted to say "I'm pregnant" she opened her eyes and watch their reaction.
