Simone stared at Jordan while munching on the honey butter chips she had been craving for two days. She took a deep breath, savoring the sweet and salty flavor that had been on her mind for so long. The kitchen area was quiet, and the only sound was the crunching of the chips as she continued to chew, her eyes remaining fixed on Jordan, whose full attention was on the strawberries in front of her.

"What are you doing?" Simone asked

"Here!" Jordan replied, picking up one strawberry and holding it up for Simone to see. "Since you are 10 weeks pregnant, this is how big your baby is now, about 1-2 inches in size. What a cutie pie, right?" She smiled warmly, her excitement evident in her voice.

Simone's gaze softened as she looked at the tiny strawberry, imagining her baby growing inside her. "W-wow," she murmured.

Jordan nodded, her eyes twinkling with joy. "It's amazing how fast they grow. Soon, you'll be able to feel the little one kicking." Jordan watched Simone munch on the honey butter chips with her eyes closed. She found her friend amusing, a smile playing on her lips as she observed Simone savoring each bite.

"What are your cravings these days?" Jordan asked in curiosity

Simone opened her eyes and grinned, a chip still in her hand. "I've been craving anything ube-flavored-just as long as it's ube-flavored-and these chips." Jordan chuckled, shaking her head.

"I guess being pregnant is not easy," she said, crossing her arms and leaning back in her chair.

Jordan stared at her for a few seconds, her teasing smile making Simone increasingly uncomfortable. Finally, she broke the silence. "So, how are things with you and Lewis?"

"We decided to be friends," Simone replied before munching on another chip.

"Friends? What the hell?" Jordan exclaimed, her eyebrows shooting up in surprise.

"What's the problem? I don't like him," Simone said, shrugging.

"But he likes you, clearly!" Jordan retorted, leaning forward with a puzzled expression.

Simone sighed, setting down the bag of chips. "Let's not talk about this."

Simone stood up, and Jordan quickly followed her to the living area. She scanned some of her finished paintings piled up in the living room, which were ready to be delivered to their owners.

"So... tell me about him?" Jordan asked with a teasing voice

Simone rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore Jordan's question. "Come on!" Jordan insisted, not giving up.

"Nothing special about him" Simone said, sighing.

Jordan rolled her eyes. "Sure, nothing special!" she said sarcastically. "That's why you blush every time his name comes up."

"excuse me I'm not blushing!"

Simone sighed and picked up one of the canvases, then sat down on the floor, carefully examining her work. Jordan plopped down beside her, refusing to let the topic drop.

"seriously, Simone, spill. What's the deal with you two? He's been around a lot lately, and you seem... different."

Simone glanced at Jordan, then back at the painting. "can you shush?" she snapped, rolling her eyes as she carefully wrapped one of the paintings in protective paper. Jordan glared at her, crossing her arms.

"I'm thinking of taking a short break" Simone continued, her tone softening.

Jordan raised an eyebrow. "a break?"

"y-yeah, maybe a week or two, I need to go back to Spain and tell my parents that I'm pregnant."

Jordan's expression softened with understanding. "That makes sense they deserve to hear it from you in person."
