Emperor Justus: The wedding between Prince Christian and Princess Alice is scheduled for two weeks from now.
Despite its suddenness and unexpectedness, no one voiced any objections. Prince Christian, sporting a broad grin, glanced at Alice, who merely smirked, catching everyone off guard.
Alice: Those who ascend the throne frequently make decisions without seeking input from others, don't they?
Alice's words left everyone stunned. Despite exuding a strong presence, she typically obeyed the Emperor's commands without hesitation. However, her mocking tone today rendered everyone speechless.
Emperor Justus: What does that mean, Princess?
Alice: Did my concerns and opinions regarding my own life held no significance to you, to the point where I became invisible?
Alice paused, giving the Emperor time to recall the past.
Emperor Justus: That is...
The Emperor asked, as it was the first time someone had tied him up with such a question.
Alice: The wedding is scheduled for a month from now, and I am not making a request; it is my decision about my life. I trust His Majesty will comprehend.
The Emperor stayed quiet. Alice exited the hall, leaving everyone bewildered except for her fiancé, who let out a laugh that echoed through the room.
As Alice sat on the couch, massaging her temples, May opened the door, apologizing for the interruption.
May: My lady, Prince Felix is here to see you.
Alice was mildly taken aback by the Second Prince's visit. She motioned for May to allow him entry with a wave of her hand, then sat up gracefully, assuming her elegant posture.
Prince Felix: How do you come by such confidence?
He asked, sitting in the chair in front of her.
Alice: Is that question purpose for your visit?
Prince Felix: Originally, I came for another matter, but now I'm curious about your boldness in commanding the Emperor as though you possess more power than him.
Alice: The one who frequently claimed I was overly confident is now intrigued, huh?
Prince Felix: I'm simply taken aback to witness you commanding father as if you're certain he won't object. Do you even experience the emotion known as fear?
