"You take that back right now."

Your voice was low and dangerous as you stopped what you were doing, plate in hand, and you narrowed your eyes hauntingly at her. She stopped midchew only to continue guiltily a moment later and you kept your stance, refusing to continue on with life until the situation was rectified.

"I'm just more of a waffles girl." She shrugged, peering down at her plate, and you scoffed.

"How dare you say that after I slaved over that stove for three hours to make you an exquisite meal – I don't know how to make much, but I pride myself on my banana chocolate pancakes, you ungrateful beast."

"Babe," She smirked, "It took you twenty minutes and you almost set fire to the kitchen – if Dum-E hadn't been here-"

"I love him." You sighed and she rolled her eyes with a smile, taking a sip from her coffee.

"If you're trying to make me jealous over one of Stark's toys," She spoke slowly as she got up, rounding the counter to put her arms around your waist, whispering into your ear as she squeezed you lightly, "It'll work, but that's quite embarrassing on my part."

"You know what's really embarrassing?" You mused and she hummed, kissing your neck where the bruises still were before resting her chin on your shoulder, "My girlfriend hating my cooking – you'd think being a powerful witch, I'd just have these skills, but maybe I should take a class."
"Lovey," She hummed and you held onto her arms, leaning back in her hold as she resumed placing delicate kisses along the side of your neck and the junction where it met your shoulder, "You're an all-powerful witch who could whip food up with your magic, but the fact that you chose to do the work for me is," She nipped lightly and you had your answer before she voiced it, "So romantic."

"You're just being nice to me because you're going with Strange to his asylum or whatever."

"Sanct-"

"Don't care," You cut her off and she huffed against you, "Point is, you know I hate him and you're still working for him."

"With him," She corrected, "And I could stop, but this multiverse stuff is...complicated and he needs my help."

"You're making me dinner," You compromised, and she smiled against your skin, placing more kisses now that she knew you weren't too angry, making them a bit sloppy on purpose, "And then you're taking me ice skating."

"You skate?"

"Nope." You deadpanned and she laughed, nodding into your neck before turning you around so your arms hung off her neck while hers relaxed around your hips.

"You've got a deal," She then kissed you slowly and you tugged on her hair after she refused to let you deepen it, so she gasped into your mouth, letting you take advantage before she broke away with another quick kiss, "You going to be okay here by yourself today?"

"Mhm."

"Don't go all Beautiful Mind on me again." She warned, a hint of teasing to her tone, and you rolled your eyes.

"Don't need to," You shrugged, and she raised her eyebrows, "I already got what I needed from all that, I'm good now."

"You're good with...being here?"

"I miss my friends," You admitted, trying not to get too upset with how you couldn't even tell Darcy, Thor, or Jane that science girl was finally your girlfriend or how much you missed your guys' pranks and just hanging out, "I'll always miss them, but yeah, I think I'm slowly accepting it here."

"But you still hate Strange." She had a quirk of an amused smile cross her lips, but she was still obviously happy and relieved to hear you say the rest.
