The next morning, you woke up to Wanda spooning you – not how you guys fell asleep, but you hummed when you felt her arm over your middle, snuggling back into her, and then she nuzzled into your neck, taking a deep breath before her breathing evened out again. You smiled to yourself, feeling your powers at rest, your body well rested, and your mind at ease right now. You knew it'd only be temporary, but you were enjoying the warm morning of Wanda cuddled to your back with your legs entwined a bit.
You didn't have to practice or use your abilities to know what you could do – it was a pure, raw feeling that just clicked with you the moment you had landed in this reality the first time. You had kept that from them, even Wanda, because you were afraid, but also because you didn't want her to be worried if hers didn't work that way and now that you knew she could use hers the same way, you'd tell her.
You felt a gentle kiss pressed to your neck that had a shiver running down your back and she continued pressing kisses to your shoulder since your shirt had dropped to leave it bare during the night.
"Mm, morning." She mumbled when she felt you move against her, a sleepy smile on your face and you had to resist letting out a groan because her raspy accent was so nice in the early morning.
You turned in her hold, her arm never leaving your side, and you smiled at her half-closed eyes, her messy hair, and the small crinkle from the pillow on her cheek. You swiped your fingertip down the slope of her nose, and she scrunched her face up with a smile, tugging you closer before she buried her face in the crook of your neck. You brushed a hand through her hair, slowly untangling it from sleep, and she made a low noise of approval as you continued.
"Can we just stay here all day?" You whispered and then smirked when she nodded against you, letting out a deep breath that gave you goosebumps as she snuggled impossibly closer.
She was wearing your red and black plaid pajama set while you went for a large navy colored sleep shirt that almost reached your knees with black capri leggings because you didn't want to be indecent, but there weren't a ton of options. You found it funny that she packed these things because one, you haven't worn the pajamas she was wearing in forever and what you had on now was half Darcy's, but you loved how it smelled like the dorms' wardrobe.
"I'm so hungry." She grumbled and as if to make the point, her stomach growled on cue, making you both chuckle.
"I could go get us breakfast." You offered and she hummed in agreement, but neither of you made a move to get up and she just tightened her hold on you if anything.
So, you both stayed in bed, under the covers, for another twenty minutes or so until her stomach growled again, and you couldn't let it go on any longer.
"You sure you don't mind?" She asked as she stayed in bed, sitting up against the headboard now with the blanket at her waist and you rifled around for some clothes from the suitcase because you still hadn't unpacked.
"Yeah, I'm sure there's a bagel place or something down the road." You shrugged, deciding if matching your socks was a big deal or if you could get away with not since you couldn't find a pair that went together.
"Coulson said there's a fully stocked kitchen on the twentieth floor that we could use." She furrowed her eyebrows, knowing full well you were there when he came to the room to give the rundown, and you had even kept her behind you because not so deep down, you didn't trust these nasty fools.
"'s okay," You frowned to yourself, deciding a blue and green Scooby-doo sock matched a yellow and red fast food themed sock – nobody would see them if you wore trainers anyway, "I wanna go out for food."
"But we could make breakfast together." She offered sweetly, playing with her hands that were outstretched on her lap nervously.
You smirked, abandoning the socks to crawl up the bed and hover in front of her face as she blushed, not having expected that, her thoughts going wild with how hot she found it.
