"So, how is this going to work out?"
Jimin asked before munching on a delicious piece of milk chocolate.
Both Jimin and Jeongguk were currently sitting on the couch in the living room. The blonde's locks were more or less dry now and Jeongguk's oversized hoodie made him feel comfortable. He pulled his knees close to his body and cuddled into the cushions. Jimin would much rather cuddle into Jeongguk but he had to stay concentrated for this conversation to go somewhere. And concentrating meant no touching.

"I'm fine with whatever you're comfortable with," Jeongguk said sincerely, his chocolate brown eyes making Jimin's heart melt the same way the chocolate piece was melting on his tongue. He groaned, throwing his head back in frustration,
"You're not making it any easier"

"Just wanna love you without holding back, baby,"
Jeongguk mumbled against the side of Jimin's neck before leaving a gentle kiss on his skin and then leaning back afterwards, making Jimin's heart flutter. The blonde hadn't even realized Jeongguk shifting closer to his body.
Despite liking Jeongguk's action, he rolled his eyes and caressed the younger's cheek before slightly pushing him away to create distance between them and continue their talk.
"So, are we going on dates first or just jump right into a relationship?"

Jeongguk sighed as he took Jimin's hands into his and caressed them lovingly,
"Aren't we overthinking this a bit? I already told you I'm fine with whatever you want us to be, as long as you love me and I love you"

"I don't know,"
Jimin groaned, hiding his face in the cushioned surface of the couch. He was feeling conflicted, didn't know what to do. What was right and what was wrong. Jeongguk and his relationship was complex to begin with and he feared that one step in the wrong direction may cause a lot of difficulties.
He looked up when Jeongguk squeezed his hands to get his attention.

"You always try to do what makes everyone else happy but this decision is ours to make and no one else's. So what do you want?"

"You,"
Jimin said, pouting. He was avoiding the question yet Jeongguk saw right through him.

"Jimin,"
the brunette responded with an eyebrow raised and looked at him warningly as if asking him indirectly to answer more seriously this time. Upon this, Jimin sighed defeatedly and thought about it for a few seconds before suggesting,
"How about we start dating and then go on all these cringy dates like normal couples do?"

He was met with a smile and couldn't resist to join in. Jeongguk let go of Jimin's hands and cupped his face instead.

"Sounds perfect,"
he mumbled against his lips before closing the distance between them and leaving a kiss on the other's lips. Before he could lean back, Jimin pulled him into an even deeper kiss, smiling against the other's lips. He couldn't believe that this was actually happening.

After many more shared kisses, they pulled apart, smiling at each other fondly. Jimin playfully said,
"So now that this is settled and all, I've got a question for my boyfriend"

"Your boyfriend?"
Jeongguk questioned, acting surprised even though he was just teasing the blonde.

"My boyfriend,"
Jimin confirmed with a cheeky smile and ran his hand through the hair at the back of Jeongguk's head. The other leaned into the touch while responding,
"Your boyfriend will gladly answer"

"When did you start liking me?"
Jimin asked, a curious look on his face which made his eyes look bigger and more adorable. Jeongguk stared at him for a second, fighting the inner urge to give in to his cuteness aggression.
Instead, he took a deep breath and thought about the question. It was hard to answer since he didn't even know the answer himself.

"I don't know when it happened. You hated me and I hated you and then it changed so suddenly that I didn't even realize it myself at first"

Maybe it was always there.

Jimin looked down at his hands resting in his lap, suddenly more sheepish than before. Almost vulnerable.
"So it didn't have to do anything with the fact that you got to have sex with me on a regular basis?"

"Well, I must admit that your blowjobs-"

"Stop joking around,"
Jimin hit him softly on the shoulder, lips formed into a pout. Jeongguk's grin turned into a more serious expression as he bent down a bit to search for eye contact and said,
"Jimin, on a serious note, I love you for you. And having awesome sex is just a bonus"

Jimin cringed and looked away when he heard the word 'love' before speaking up,
"Sorry, I still have to get used to all the declarations of love"

"I love you,"
Jeongguk said despite Jimin's words. He was teasing but what he was saying was genuine.

"Stop"

"I love you"

When Jeongguk repeated his words, Jimin scowled at him.

"Say it back,"
the taller whined and cupped Jimin's face to emphasize what he was saying.

"Jeongguk,"
Jimin warned yet Jeongguk couldn't care less.

"I love y-"
Jeongguk's words were cut off by Jimin pressing his lips onto his.

"I love you too, dumbass,"
Jimin mumbled against his lover's lips as he squished his cheeks together funnily. Jeongguk quickly moved forward to steal another kiss, making Jimin giggle.

It was bizarre. The way they smiled at each other and laughed together.
Jimin and Jeongguk had been deemed to never work out. No one had believed that, one day, they could exist in the same room without snarky remarks and snappy fights. Their feelings changed so suddenly from hatred to love and it took them really long to realize but they wouldn't have it any other way. And they were oh so head over heels for each other.
