"You're what?"
Yoongi exclaimed with widened eyes, his body leaning over the table, hands flat on the surface.

"Dating. We're dating,"
Jimin repeated, stealing a glance at Jeongguk for reassurance. As soon as everyone fully understood the meaning of his words, chaos erupted around the large table.

"It was about time. The way Jeongguk talked about you, I'm telling you, he was so obsessed with you,"
Taehyung chuckled sassily as he took a sip of his wine.

It was Saturday and all of their friends were currently gathered in their apartment, meeting up after a tough week to have fun. Even Jongin had joined them after Taehyung had convinced him to hang out more with his friends. Jimin, who had been chewing on a small piece of bread, almost choked out of embarrassment.

He quickly swallowed before groaning,
"How do you know that? Did he-
oh my god, you knew?"

"Oh well, my drink is empty. I gotta go,"
Taehyung said as he ran off into the kitchen. Jimin contemplated whether to go after him or to confront his boyfriend who was sitting in front of him. He looked at Jeongguk with furrowed eyebrows and asked,
"So Taehyung actually knew you liked me?"

"Hey, you can't be mad. We weren't exactly truthful to him either,"
Jeongguk immediately defended himself. He was relieved when he heard Jimin sigh,
"I'm not mad but I'm just realizing now that we made it so complicated and dragged other people into our own affairs"

"It's alright. He never knew I was talking about you anyway,"
the brunette mumbled, not wanting to elaborate on what that meant. However, Taehyung returned to the living area with a refilled glass of red wine and new motivation to cause some chaos.

"Oh yeah, he's telling the truth, you know? Jeongguk told me about that mysterious guy that he, and I quote, 'can't live without and all that shit'. What a cute way to rephrase love,"
Taehyung sighed dreamily in a sarcastic tone, clasping his hands together in front of his chest.

"Taehyung,"
Jeongguk warned as he felt warmth spread in his cheeks. He was currently dying out of embarrassment when Jiwoong laughed and patted his friend's shoulder,
"That is such a Jeongguk thing to say"

"Hold on, let's slow down a bit. What the fuck did we miss in the past few weeks?"
Yoongi asked exasperatedly, looking especially at his best friend. In response, Jimin chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his neck before speaking up,
"Well, everyone knows what happened between me and Jeongguk ever since Taehyung found out, right? So, turns out we actually have feelings for each other and now were dating"

"We'll leave it at that for now but I want the full storytime later,"
Yoongi said, judging what his best friend said with one eyebrow raised.

When Jimin looked around the table, especially one person was catching his eye. Jongin stared back, his mouth shut as if he was holding back to say something. Jimin tilted his head as if to challenge him before a slight smirk appeared on Jongin's face.

"I told you"

Jimin's eyes widened, regretting to make him say what's on his mind. He immediately knew what Jongin was talking about. Now, everyone's attention was on him. He cleared his throat before responding without looking at Jongin,
"This happened completely independently from what you said back then"

Jeongguk raised his eyebrow in interest while sipping his wine, hiding his smirk behind the glass, not knowing what all this was about but feeling amused nevertheless. Jongin pointed at Jimin as he hummed teasingly,
"You're lying"
