Afterword

5 years ideas, plans, and plots simmered in my head. 3 years it took to painstakingly, and slowly write them. 4 Wattpad accounts created since late 2017 that I officially started writing on Wattpad, three of them deleted as I gave up too soon, along with the other stories that were in those accounts.

Some stories I wish I could've kept for myself, but didn't get a chance to save them. One I kinda. . .was successful with, but wasn't too proud of it in terms of my dignity. . .

'HUMAN' has officially finished! Well, for the main story at least. I must admit, I didn't think I would ever see this day happen because I feared that this story, like my previous stories from my other accounts will be banished into the shadow realm before I could work on them until the end.

The only reason why I made it this far is because of you. I'm being serious. As cringey and corny as this sounds, I genuinely would not make it without your support. You people are what kept me going on continuing the story. Because this book was close to being cancelled as well.

I wanted to take people away from reality for a bit, just a quick break from the chaos in our busy lives. Writing was something that I was a bit decent at before, and when I read some of my first Human X Furry stories here after shortly joining the furry fandom in 2017 as a stupid 7th grader, I was inspired to do the same.

But of course, it came with some set backs.

I wasn't too good at English back then. It's my second language, and I could barely piece up a decent sentence. Hence, the constant deleting and restarting of Wattpad accounts and stories as a way of telling myself "I'll start fresh so these stories can come out fresh."

If I were to learn from one thing from that. . .

That's some bullshit I tell you.

You won't 'start fresh.' You won't get your 'dream head start.' You have to work with what you have and stick with it when it comes to writing. You just need to bite the bullet and work on it. The mistakes you make can also be your best teachers. I messed up writing the beginning and close to the middle point of this book. To be frank, I hadn't set a solid motivation for Vincent to do what he is doing because I just didn't know what problem he should focus on to be honest.

^That message is mainly for 7th grader me. If you wish to write as well, know your characters and what makes them want to move toward something they want! Anyway- getting a tad bit sidetracked.

I'll admit, I knew sweet fuck all of what was happening and that is going to happen most of the time while I'm writing.

Mid way point was definitely the toughest. I was genuinely stuck on how to progress the book in terms of plot and conflict because I didn't set it up properly to begin with, which caused me to bite the bullet and suffer from not having to press the delete button.

I even had to use ChatGPT to help a homie out. Spoiler warning; it didn't work. Sure, it gave some good ideas for some nudging, but it wasn't aligning with my vision. THE vision I wanted for this book. And guilty as charged, I treat GPT like my slave and tell them to cook up some cringe self inserty stories purely for my eyes only.

I dread the mid way point for my next book tho, because I know my dumbass will mess something up in the beginning and throw the story off the rails. Which is something I know that I need to work on. But I completed a novel, and I have enough experience under my belt to tackle it better.

Or else, I would have deleted this book yet again if I didn't stick with it.

I'm quite glad I didn't.

I've met a lot of people that were a blessing for me to come across, and one who I became close friends with despite being on the other side of the world and having different time zones (you know who you are, one of us needs to visit each other some day) (crazy what the internet can do nowadays huh? I know it's a pretty common thing but I'm easily amazed by things like that fyi). None of that would have happened if I just decided to bring the hammer down.

So, to finish this off.

Thank you everyone, for your time. And I remember those who have read from beginning to end, from when I first started writing to finishing the book now. You lot vote, and it does help me keep track of who has followed my work for a long time. Thank you, THANK you for the patience, time, and hours that you invested in this book.

And I hope that I was able to bring you out of reality for a moment so you can relax in the work I created. It means a lot to me more than you'll ever know, hence why this entire afterword is a bit cheesy and wordy.

As long as I can write, I'll gladly take you into another world to escape to on the next books!

Although I'll admit, I'd like to take my time with it. (procrastination)
