I loved hanging out with Wanda at the mall yesterday it was fun. When we got back and put our bags in our rooms my bed had a fresh sheet, a fresh blanket and fresh pillow cases which I wasn't expecting to happen but it did. I guess one of the cleaning people did it or Pepper and dad did it either or I wasn't expected to be taken care of like that. Anyway I was walking outside along one of the hiking trails with dad and Pepper who were asking a lot of questions. "So they just let you keep your memories?" I looked at dad as I said yeah "they used them as a way of torturing me." They looked at me with sad looks "but I'm grateful they did because I got to remember you and mom." We walked while talking for like another thirty minutes before heading back to the compound. It was a nice walk with them especially with getting to know them a little more. When we got back to the compound we went our separate ways with me going to my room. Once I got to my room I grabbed my book off the nightstand and laid down on the bed kicking off my shoes as I opened the book. I read for a good hour before dad decided to drag me out of the house. He told me to dress in jeans and a nice top along with some heels because we're going into the city to check on the company. I wondered what this had to do with me but I didn't ask him that I just got changed and met dad and Pepper in the garage.

My dad told me to sit in the back so I did Pepper was in the passenger seat while dad drove. I buckled up as he started the car up pulling out of the parking space and drove out of the garage. As dad drove I looked out the window just watching the world go by. They talked I just kept to myself looking out the window. I was always a quiet person only speaking up if needed.

When we reached the city there was a little bit of a traffic jam but we got through it in no time heading towards the company building. I still don't know why I'm needed there and I haven't asked either. As soon as we got to the company building I asked dad why I was here. We got out of the car going inside after dad parked the car. "Well Harley I just wanted you to see the company." I shook my head at that a little but followed them inside without complaining. The first thing we did was go to the office portion of the building I sat down on the couch across from dad looking around the office.

"Is this where Pepper works from?" I asked dad who looked at me "yeah I just approve the ideas from the compound or the farm." I looked at Pepper who was typing away at the computer. I sighed looking around again not really wanting to be here but dad did want to show me that got built by his dad and what changes dad made. "We use to build weapons but I changed the direction and we stopped with the weapons" dad said to me I looked at him "didn't grandpa build this company on weapons?" I asked and dad said yeah but the weapons kept getting into the wrong hands so that's a reason why the stopped with the weapons making. We talked for a bit longer before Pepper finally finished what she was doing.

The three of us left the office with Pepper telling us she has to go to a meeting so have fun walking around then left the two of us alone. I looked at dad who looked at me "well I guess we do as she says and have walking around." We shrugged before we started walking around aimlessly through the building. We talked as we walked it was nice to hear about dads life especially with grandpa before him and grandma died. Dad even told me that grandpa was great friends with Steve before Steve went into the ice.

"He liked to compare me to him a lot when I was growing up and I hated that." I found that totally weird and rude at the same time but then I remembered something before mom and I were taken by Hydra. "I remember when mom and I lived in Lockhart Texas" I told him then started telling him about this little festival they did there it was nice and fun but mom and I had to leave three days after the festival ended because a few Hydra agents found us so we had to go. "Did your mom ever tell you why you guys had move a lot?" I shook my head no telling him I didn't know or really understand until we were taken by them "she always said it was because you were involved with some shady people." He scoffed at that then said I'm surprised she even let you talk to me "I was surprised too but she also knew I needed to know who my dad was."
