Today was the day where I was gonna babysit Morgan and I was excited and nervous at the same time I'm just hoping not to screw up. It was close to lunch time so I headed down to the kitchen to grab some food. The entire ride down I kept thinking if there was any leftover pizza from last nights dinner. The elevator doors opened a minute or two later I got off walking towards the kitchen. When I did reach the kitchen dad was already in there taking the pizza boxes out of the fridge. He saw me walk in he put the boxes down on the counter asking if I was having any. I told him yeah I am as he opened the boxes. I grabbed two plates from the cupboard going to put them on the islands counter top. Dad took a plate putting three slices on it then went and put it in the microwave I just decided to eat mine cold. I looked at dad as I chewed my food debating to ask him or not. Dad looked at me and that's where it led to a staring contest until the microwave started beeping. He looked away grabbing his food from the microwave I sighed deciding to ask him "dad were you ever afraid of not being good enough for your spouse and scared of losing them?" He looked at me with a serious expression on his face as he put his food on the counter. "It was both for me" he said then took a bite of his food. I asked him what he meant by that so he swallowed his food then started talking "when I first got with Pepper I was afraid of not being good enough." He sighed looking at his food with a smile on his face "it's probably because I wasn't in a serious relationship before but I realized I was always good enough for her." I smiled at that as he looked at me again "plus if I wasn't good enough she wouldn't have stayed with me especially with all shit I put her through." I took a bite pf my pizza as he went on "at one point I was scared of losing her because of what happened with Loki and me being Iron Man." I saw the grim look appear on his face "at one point something really really bad happened and I thought I lost her for good." He shivered a little just thinking about then he looked at me fully once more "but in the end I didn't lose her she lost me once because of what happened with Thanos." I remember being told dad died but like a year later he just popped up alive and well without any memory of how he was brought back to life.

"Sometimes big things like this pop up don't be afraid to share them with your spouse." He grabbed my free hand looking me right in the eyes with a smile planted on his face "because you guys need to work through them okay?" I nodded my head okay as I said okay. The microwave beeped making us jump he went and grabbed his food from the microwave.

I walked into the living room in the tower seeing Morgan and Pepper were there watching the tv. Pepper was dressed beautifully and she wasn't wearing dark ass makeup. Pepper looked away from the tv to look at me with a smile on her face. She asked if I was ready to watch my sister and I told I am ready and that Steve will be back from the store shortly he's just getting a few things to go with dinner tonight. She sighed looking at Morgan who was really into the show. Pepper shut the tv off telling Morgan to listen to her for a minute.

"You are being watched by Harley and Steve tonight so you be good for them okay?" Morgan smiled saying okay then asked if she can go back to watching her show now "yes just make sure to listen and do as you are told." Pepper turned the tv back on then gave the remote to Morgan before she got off the couch. "Okay um bedtime is 8:15 don't let her convince you other wise." We went over a few ground rules before she said goodbye to the both of us then left. I looked at Morgan after Pepper fully left she was really into her show. I sighed walking to the couch and sitting down next her looking at the tv screen. "So what do you wanna do tonight?" I asked her as I looked at her again just in time to see her shrug her shoulders her eyes glued to the tv. "How about baking?" I asked wrapping me arm around her shoulders. She looked at me with a big smile on her face asking if we were allowed to do that "yeah plus Steve will be back soon with some baking stuff and other stuff for dinner." She hugged me tightly I just hugged her back. We pulled away from the hug a minute later turning our attention to the tv screen. We sat there watching tv for a good hour when Steve finally got back with the things we needed for dinner and baking. He smiled at as us as he walked into the living room seeing us all cuddled on the couch watching the tv. I turned the tv off as I sighed looking down at Morgan "well it's time to cook dinner then bake kiddo." The two of us got off the couch she ran to the elevator while I grabbed one of Steve's hands pulling him along. The three of us got on the elevator Morgan couldn't stop talking about baking and hopefully we make cookies and cupcakes.
