I walked along a random hallway in the compound with it being Saturday I had no classes plus I'm already done my essay and with Hydra still lurking around the only things I can is bake, read or help dad in the lab but I didn't wanna do any of that. I guess I should've went with Pepper, dad and Morgan to the farm for the weekend. I turned right deciding to go down a different hallway not really having a direction in mind. When I got to the end of the hallway my choices were go left or go right I looked both ways sighing "why is there so many hallways?" I asked no one in particular. I took a deep breath letting it go a few seconds later before I went left. I saw windows on my right so as I walked along the hallway I looked out the windows seeing the beautiful nature that was out there. I looked straight ahead upon hearing footsteps coming towards me only to see Steve walking towards me. He looked up from the tablet in his hands smiling at me when he saw me "no farm this weekend?" I shook my head yeah saying yeah decided to not go "dad being annoying?" I nodded my head yeah "told him if he was gonna egotistical then I won't go." He laughed a little at that before asking if I've been outside of the compound today "no I haven't can't really go anywhere with Hydra agents crawling around." He looked at me sadly before he offered to come with me to the city if I want to. "Sure I just need to go get my shoes and bag" he said okay to that before saying he'll meet me down in the garage. I told him I'll see him in a few as I started walking towards my room by going the direction I came from. I reached my room like two minutes later I quickly put my shoes on then quickly grabbed my bag leaving my room texting Wanda that I'll be back soon hanging out with Steve for awhile before shoving my phone into my sweater pocket. I reached the garage three minutes later seeing Steve standing by my car looking around. When he saw me he smiled at me I smiled back telling him to catch then threw my keys at him. He catches my keys looking at me confused so I said that he's driving. He smiled at that before opening the passenger door I smiled at him as I got into the car. He closed the door before going to the drivers side to get in. Once he got in he started the car up then pulled out of the garage heading towards the city. The entire drive to the city it was quiet which I didn't mind. Wanda texted me back during the drive as well asking me oh you finally asked him out? which I smiled at then ignored. Steve pulled into a parking spot downtown putting the car in park. He turned the car off as I took my seatbelt off he looked at me asking me if I was ready I nodded my head yeah. We got out of the car I met him on the sidewalk as he locked the car.

"So where to first?" he asked I shrugged looking around. He smiled "I know a diner just down the block" I smiled as I said sure food actually sounds good right now. We started walking towards the diner talking about whatever came to mind it was actually nice to talk with Steve. We reached the diner a few minutes later going inside and sat down at a random empty booth.

"So you do anything in your free time besides read and bug Tony?" Steve asked as we waited for some menus. I shrugged saying I like to go for hikes and like to camp. "I heard camping is fun" I smiled at that as a waitress came up to us handing us menus and asked us what we wanted to drink Steve told me to go first I looked at the waitress telling her a Pepsi if they have and if not then a Root Beer. The waitress nodded her head okay then looked over at Steve who got a water. She left I started looking at the menu in front of me then I looked at Steve who was looking at me. I looked at him confused asking if I had something on my face he told me no "it's just you kind of look like you're grandfather when you concentrate." I smiled at that with my cheeks slightly heating up a little letting me know I was slightly blushing even though he did compare me to my grandfather and I should be weirded out by that but I'm not which I find weird. I looked over the menu before deciding on a cheese burger and some fries. When the waitress came back with our drinks she asked if we decided what to eat yet that's when Steve said he'll have his usual she said sure thing before looking at me. I told her what I wanted which she wrote down then left with the menus stating she'll be back soon with our food. I looked at Steve who had this smile on his face. "So you've been here before?" He nodded his head yeah "this is my favorite hang out especially when I wanna be alone."
