Since getting the portal machine up and running it's been kind of hectic especially with the government snooping around because of the machine. Dad had Shuri's machine with grandpa in it along with the portal machine moved to a secure location and told me it's him and the rest of the team were the only ones who knew where it was. Every time someone creates something that might be useful to the government the government will go really crazy to get the invention out of the inventor's grip so I understand why dad moved everything. Bruce went with the equipment along with a few techs and doctors just to make sure everything goes smoothly especially with grandpa. It's been about two weeks Steve and I went on plenty of dates in the last two weeks and he's the sweetest the guy ever. Well that's enough about the machine and grandpa for now right now I'm laying in Steve's bed with him next to me. We got home tonight a little late and he didn't want me walking to the other side of the compound this late even though the place is secured enough and I told him all my pj's are in my room I'll be fine. He did mention my dad and how we told him we'd be home a certain time but we never did get home at that time and also he has a feeling that my dad would most likely be standing in front of my bedroom door waiting to pounce. After talking about it for a good minute I decided why not and followed him to his room. He gave me one of his tops and a pair of shorts to change into that was like two hours ago. I'm laying here having a good dream but out of nowhere it turned into a nightmare. I tried to cut the nightmare off but it wasn't working. I didn't realize that I was moving around a lot and sweating until I started threshing around I'm pretty sure I scared the living shit out of Steve. The screams started leaving my mouth I felt hands grab my wrists only for that person to pull me into a hug. I felt my eyes fly open the screams slowing down as I looked to see Steve hugging me tight trying to wake me and calm me down. I buried my face in his chest letting the sobs come out as Steve whispered in my ear telling me everything is okay as he rubbed my back soothingly. The sobs started to slow down I took deep breaths to help calm me down. Once I was calm enough to answer Steve asked if I was okay "I'm fine just a really bad nightmare." He kissed the top of my head before grabbing the blanket covering us with it as he told me to get some more sleep. He kept his arms around me while I kept mine around him we laid there falling asleep listening to each other's breathing. When the next morning came I woke up and rolled over to see Steve's side empty I heard water running so I looked towards the bathroom seeing the door closed and what I assumed the shower running. I sighed sitting up seeing some of my clean clothes at the end of the bed. I sighed throwing the blanket off me and got out of bed stretching. I heard the shower stopped almost thirty seconds after I got off the bed so I sat down on the edge of the bed.

I picked up my phone seeing I had a few dozen texts from dad so I texted back saying I passed out in Steve's room I also told him no we didn't have sex before he makes the assumption. I exited the messaging app going to check my emails quickly. The bathroom door opened a few minutes later and Steve walked out with his towels and dirty clothes putting them in the hamper.

He came up to the bed and sat down next to me bringing me into a hug. I hugged him back with a smile on my face still feeling guilty about having the nightmare last night. "I'm sorry about last night" I felt him kiss the top off my head before telling me that it's fine his nightmares use to be pretty bad too. We pulled away from the hug looking at each other with smiles planted on our faces. "I left fresh towels in the bathroom." I nodded my head okay as I told him thank you. "I also got Wanda to bring some of your clothes from your room." I thanked him once more giving him a kiss on the lips before getting up going to the bathroom to shower. I quickly showered then got dried and dressed then left the bathroom. I put the dirty towels and top and shorts in the hamper looking towards the bed seeing Steve reading a book on the bed. I walked up to him which got his attention towards me he smiled "I thought you would've went down to eat already?" He shrugged stating he wanted to wait for me I smiled giving him a kiss on the lips. We pulled away from the kiss he marked off his page and closed the book putting on the nightstand. He got off the bed grabbing my hand as we started walk towards the bedroom door to leave the room. We went down to the kitchen still hand in hand dad was already there and when he spotted us he started walking towards us "Tony don't even think about!" We heard Pepper yell from her spot at the table and dad stopped walking only to sigh and say fine then he went back the direction he came from. I shook my head a little before letting Steve's hand go going to grab coffee for us. Steve went towards the fridge to grab something from the fridge.
