He was swinging through unknown grounds, his eyes narrowed as he watched every crook and cranny of the sprawling streets of Moscow, Russia. He was far from the familiar skyline of New York City; his mission had already taken him through Tokyo, Japan; Canberra, India; and even Lyon, France. It was his responsibility to stop Wilson Fisk once and for all, it was his and only his. And while he had Daredevil's help back in New York, he was alone when it came down to Fisk's global connections.

He already knew that Fisk was not in New York, with Daredevil having apparently commissioned the help of Frank Castle to take out the remains of Fisk in Hell's Kitchen and the rest of New York. And since he didn't receive any news of the duo taking out the Kingpin of New York, he knew that the whale of a man had to be elsewhere. He had been on a hunt, disabling all of Fisk's connections to the rest of the world, which is why he now found himself in Moscow.

As he kept searching for the remains of Fisk's men across the sprawling streets of Moscow, the arachnid hero from Queens found himself face to face with a sight that he could admit he was enjoying quite a bit. A female with blonde hair standing face to face with an injured grunt, or he would like to think the man was a grunt, and her fist already ready to hit the man once more. He could also see that her fist was surrounded by dark-ish energy which actually reminded him of Cloak a bit.

"Gde on?!" He immediately recognized the Russian language that escaped from the female's mouth. He didn't understand what was being asked, but her voice could tell him that she was angry at the very least. But the goo began to convulse, his mouth foaming wildly and his eyes rolling back a bit. He immediately recognized the effects of the Cyanide pill that was used by people in the black market to silence others. "Yebat'..."

"Hey..." He called out, the woman not wasting any time looking at him. Her blue eyes looked at him with apprehension and weariness. Synonyms of the same word, but nonetheless understandable in his mind. He, to her point of view, seemingly appeared out of nowhere. And that was the reason why he has yet to move a single step forward to her location. Yet a second later, she seemingly relaxed, her eyes closing for a bit as she let out a quite expressive sigh from her lips.

"I see that you are also looking for the Kingpin" Her thick russian accent, one that immediately reminded him of Natasha Romanoff, escaped from her lips. A small smile over her face as she slowly began to release the energy from her fists, slowly disappearing into the wind. He knew that she was no danger to him, his precognitive sense not activating whatsoever. It was then, that after a few more seconds, he approached the femme fatale that was in front of him. "Never expected you to leave your jungle alone"

"There is a little red devil keeping watch for me" He replied back, seemingly following her analogy of the events that came with him leaving New York seemingly unattended. He could have chosen his words better, since Matt was legally blind and could only 'see' thanks to his heightened senses, but she seemingly understood the overall message. His lenses narrowed slightly, his mind reminding him of who the female was. He hated himself for not recognizing her earlier, he would have approached her if he had any recollection of her at the time. "Wait... You're Darkstar, right?"

"I see that you remember me, Spider-Man" He would have kicked his own behind if he was alone at this very moment. The female in front of him had been at Krakoa at the time of the Hellfire Gala that he was able to assist, albeit not for very long. He could only make a small smile underneath his mask, knowing that someone slightly familiar seemed to be dealing with Kingpin as well. "You're here because of Fisk's operations outside of New York, aren't you?"

"Yes, it is my responsibility after all..." He said, the tiredness being expressed through his voice. While he was more than tired of dealing with everything around him, he knew that he couldn't leave it be. He will not ignore the pleas of help again, not like that day. The cost was very high, and he didn't want someone else to suffer because of his inactions. Though ignoring his thoughts for a second, he realized that both of them were after the same man. "But why are you tracking Willie?"

"He had been kidnapping people from my hometown, Minsk" All he could do was groan, irritation seeping into his veins. He knew that Fisk was a tad suicidal because of his encounters with not only Daredevil and Punisher, but with Electra and Echo as well. But to draw the wrath of a mutant was literally crossing the line. "Maybe we could help each other with this"

"I guess..." He responded to her statement, which was definitely not a question on her part. Whether he agreed or not, he knew that the member of the Winter Guard would still try to track down dear old Willie. It took no time to web up the already knocked out grunts, with the two heroes immediately leaving the area. Both of them had a goal in mind, to track down the Kingpin of New York and bring him to justice.

Time Skip

A few days have passed ever since he had encountered Darkstar in Moscow and he had to admit that having her around was refreshing. While both of them definitely struggled with working together at the start, the two of them now worked very well. Their bond grew stronger, and there were moments where he could feel the slight embarrassment moments would happen between the two. But their friendship grew stronger, and Peter also felt that Darkstar had developed feelings for him.

Regardless of what he was thinking at the moment, the two were now resting. The two had captured Fisk and had thwarted all of his operations in Russia. Peace and quiet was enjoyable, his mind slightly at peace. Stories told between the two had been one of the many things that kept him slightly sane and not missing his home back in Queens. But right now, the two found themselves on a rooftop, watching serenely the snowy sunset bath them with its cold touch and warm feelings.

"Thank you, my people are finally able to live in peace because of this..." He smiled, happy to know that he had been able to help others. Just knowing that others would not feel the same pain he has was enough to make his day. The two were right beside each other, her head slowly moving towards his shoulder. He only relaxed a bit further, a mechanism that the two developed after a gruesome mission with finding Fisk and almost dying while escaping the factory they destroyed. "You changed their lives... You even changed mine..."

"Don't sell yourself short, Laynia" He stated softly, his eyes never leaving the scenery. He was trying to enjoy it the most he could. This would be his last day in Russia before he had to go back to New York and let the others rest. That was his sole responsibility, and he could not escape from it any longer. But the least he could do was enjoy this moment with the blonde haired female. "I didn't expect to find you and get this close to you either... You also changed my life"

"Thanks to you, I have finally been able to see hope" She removed her head from his shoulder, her eyes staring right at his lenses. He would never admit it out loud, but he was getting lost in her beautiful eyes. He even saw just how she gently grabbed his mask, yet his senses were not alarming him of any danger from her actions. The cold immediately hit his chin harder than the grunt he and Darkstar had to take out during their many missions together. But coldness had been replaced by the warmth of her lips on his. Another kiss may not happen anytime soon, but they will not forget this moment. "Maybe, we could be together one day..."

Peter could only smile in response, also wishing for that day to arrive. They were just two heroes that had found solace in one another because of the hard ordeals they went through. Both maintained their position next to one another, enjoying the closeness to one another. It was then that they turned back to the scenery in front of them once more. Their minds already ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that they had found something worth fighting for in each other.
