"Mama, what are you doing?" She looked back, her eyes carefully watching her daughter. She was critical of her, of the hunter that she was turning up to be. And if she had to admit, she was ashamed to even recognize her of her blood. She had been unable to hunt Spider-Man, unable to even get the correct arachnid. It only frustrated her further. It was because of this that she had to take command of the hunt, to take charge of what was happening within her plan.

She had to begrudgingly admit that Spider-Man was a better hunter. But she was convinced that she was better, that her dead husband was better than Spider-Man. Yet, her eyes were looking at the proof; proof that only pictured the arachnid as a better hunter. She carefully watched the videos, her eyes analyzing the images that were in front of her. Watching just how the male hero was able to fend off various enemies at the same time. And even watching just how ragged and tired he was, yet not giving up in the face of adversity.

"Get out, child" Was her only response. Her eyes were not leaving the electronic device that was in front of her. She didn't need to acknowledge her daughter; she had already failed her. If she was more like her, then maybe she wouldn't be as much of a failure. She didn't even need to move much to be able to manhandle her daughter straight to the ground. The cheap strike that came from her daughter only made her thinking even more certain that Ana was really a disgrace as a Kravinova. "You... You think you could strike me?"

"L-Let me go!" She hummed, actually thinking of her daughter's words. It was not much, but her mind started to analyze things a bit deeper. What if it was Kraven who was poisoning her blood, a false hunter that managed to convince her otherwise. She was royalty, born to monarchs of Russia and taught by trained hunters. She was the pinnacle of what it meant to be a hunter. And if her daughter was this weak, then it couldn't possibly be because of her. It must have been from her father, from Sergei. Her eyes narrowed, a distinctive feeling in her brain that she fully recognized. "Ma-"

*CRUNCH*

She snapped it, her daughter only being able to let out a soft hiss before death stole her very soul. She knew that her actions would never be forgiven, but it was her upbringing. Even animals would hunt their very offspring, she had seen it firsthand in one of her many hunts with Sergei. She let go of the arm of her now dead daughter, her eyes immediately going once more to the images of Spider-Man dominating his enemies. She just hummed, her eyes gaining even the slightest hint of amusement. She would keep on testing the arachnid hero, but her plan had changed greatly. And she would probably need a bit more time before she had what she wanted from the hero.

Time Skip

She was walking through her latest hunting ground, her eyes overlooking the end of the hunt. She could perfectly see just how Spider-Man had dominated the fight, enveloping the various villains that were fighting him in his webs. It only made her certain that he was a better hunter than Kraven would ever be. After ignoring the constant anger and rage that she held for the arachnid, she could see clearly just what the hero was really capable of. And she was sure that she would never be able to defeat the arachnid. He was the ultimate hunter, and she couldn't do anything to change the fate that deemed it to be like that.

"Simply amazing, Spider-Man..." She could see just how the arachnid hero almost snapped his very own neck because of the whiplash that his head created. She was amused, her eyes looking at the restless hero's hand. She was even able to notice just how it twitched in anticipation. He was daring her to move, daring her to do anything against him. But she was in no hurry to be hunted by the hero. "I can see you... Who you truly are..."

"I'm sorry lady, I have no idea of-"

"It's very simple, Spider-Man..." She interrupted him, her steps starting anew. She knew that he would not do anything, she was not going to attack him. She just wanted to talk, hunters talking with one another. Her gauntlet may have not started with such an idea in mind, but she had to admit that it was the best ending she could ever foresee. "Your instincts, it drives you... Makes you one with nature..." She stopped just inches from him, though still maintaining a respectable distance. She could only watch as he narrowed the lenses of his mask at her. It sent her a shiver down her spine. She was sure that it was her own survival instincts talking, but it only excited her more. She has never felt this kind of pressure, not even from Sergei. "Transforms you into a hunter"

"I have no plans of turning just like Kraven, miss..." She could only smirk in response. She would be completely bored if the man ended up being just another version of Kraven. She didn't need a hunter, she needed an alpha. Someone who could impose his will on others, something that she knew that he was completely capable of doing. She still tried to guess just why he never did, but she was in no position to even seek answers. As his words finally registered completely in her mind, she relaxed her smirk into a more polite expression.

"Nikolaevna... Aleksandra Nikolaevna" She introduced herself to the hero. She decided to use her maiden last name, preventing any damage that she may create with the hero if she ever mentions her married last name. She wanted to do nothing with the Kravinova family, a past that should be buried forever. "And I do not want you to be Kraven..." She stated, both humans looking at each other directly into each other's eyes. She had to admit that their slight tense stare was making her excited by the second. To be in the presence of a true alpha was something that she never expected in her life. Yet it only worked to make her more excited. "What I want is someone better than that fake hunter"

"Miss Nikolaevna, you just became my favorite stranger in New York!" She smirked at his emotive answer. She just chuckled slightly, watching the hero carefully trap the remaining villains. She even felt the glances that the arachnid was giving her, which only made her smirk once more. Even when she heard his earlier words, he was still wary of her. The man kept on giving her more signs that he should have always been the one she should have chosen as a partner. "I hope we can see each other again!"

"Oh believe me, Spider-Man..." She said, the arachnid hero already swinging elsewhere. But he was not hard to follow, her eyes tracking his every movement easily. She could only lick her lips in anticipation. Her mind was already thinking of which hunting ground she should use for their following meeting. Many places to choose from and so little time. It actually brought her quite the dilemma. But she was certain that she would see him once again. "We will be talking with each other sooner than what you expect~"

She would try to be more direct with her wants in their following conversation. This was just her way of really getting a taste of his instincts, to be able to truly judge the hero with her own experience with dealing with hunters. It was a sight to see, a sight that she was happy to truly experience. Because she knew what to expect from the man, knew just what she needed to do to be able to get a partner once more. And no one, especially the Kravinova family, would stand in her way of accomplishing her personal mission.
