"IM AN AUNT NOW! GIVE ME THE BABIES!" Hala screams as soon as Haadi opened the room door.
She was so impatient throughout when we were at Imaan's mendhi till now and I won't lie, I don't blame her. Having one baby much less twins was crazy.
I'm a mother of two now and Haadi was too.
"Safi (enough) Hala, how many times did I say to not scream when they open the door?" Their dad says to her.
Ignoring her father's words, Hala goes straight to me where I'm currently holding Qamar on my left arm. Meanwhile, Shams was sleeping on my other arm.
"Pass her over here girl!" She whisper shouts making me laugh.
"No hi, hello?" I ask sarcastically.
"Sorry, sorry, the baby fever of my two pregnant besties just hit me and I need to hold my nieces." She says before kissing my cheek.
"Congratulations guys, these girls are adorable Ma'Sha'Allah." Their father says before pulling Haadi in for a hug.
"Jazahkhallah'Khair Baba." Haadi replies with a deep smile that meets his eyes, looking at me over his dads shoulder.
Trying to avoid his eyes I look towards Hala who already has a knowing look.
Yallah, why's she always looking at me like this with that smirk??
Give her the baby and she'll forget, Neha.
"Do you wanna hold her now, Hala?" I ask her and she immediately snaps out of that trance she was in.
Nodding so hard, she carefully takes little Shams in her arms.
"She looks so small in your arms, binti (daughter) be careful." Hala's dad says to her while lightly rubbing my head which was in a low ponytail, all over the place might I add and swiftly scooping Shams from my other arm.
"Ya Habibti, may Allah bless you with many beautiful years." He says before kissing his granddaughters tiny hand sweetly.
"Yes I'm your Khala, you cutie. Yes I am." Hala coos to Shams.
As Hala and her dad both are talking about how cute the girls are, Haadi goes back to open the door, mouthing that Noor, Khalil and her family are there.
"Do you want me to take the girls to meet Khalil, Samir and Elias outside? I don't want you to be feeling uncomfortable or anything, you just went through so much?" Haadi asks me quietly.
Shaking my head, I grab my black jersey scarf hanging from the chair next to me and cover my face up to my eyes as well as Hala adjusts it for me.
Walking back to the door, Haadi doesn't even need to open it halfway till Elias and Khalil both fall inside.
