It had been a week since I'd given birth to the twins and surprisingly it had been a breeze. Except for the lack of sleep Haadi and I have had.

Hearing one of the babies cry from the cot next to the bed, I was beginning to get up before I feel a hand on top of mine.

"I'll take over." Haadi whispers before kissing my forehead.

"It's no problem, you have work at 7 and what time is it now?" I ask myself, turning on the phone which read  5:36AM.

"I need to go to the gym in an hour, it's fine." He says as I sigh.

Turning on the lamp on my bedside table, Haadi carefully takes Shamsa in his arms, cooing in her ear.

"How's my girl? Are you hungry? Come on, let's let your Mama get some more sleep." He quietly says to her while walking out of the room with her to make her bottle, as I smile to myself.

The past week since I was discharged from the hospital, Haadi had taken the week off to spend with the twins and me.

I felt more exhausted than ever but it was all worth it for my babies.

20 minutes later I get up and brush my teeth since I couldn't go back to sleep and also decide to check up on Haadi and Shams while Qamar was still sleeping.

That girl was the best in terms of letting her mother rest.

"Haadi?" I call out quietly as I walk into the living room.

Looking around at the dimly lit room lies my husband on the sofa, legs sprawled over the table while Shams is sleeping peacefully on his chest.

My heart melted, taking in the scene.

Slowly making my steps quiet, I made my way towards them.

Carefully taking Shams in my arms, making sure not to wake that little fireball up I turn for the bedroom to put her back in her cot.

A few moments after I put her to bed, I make my way back to my man who was still sleeping on the sofa.

He looked like one of those models that could be on a magazine but as for now he was my workaholic husband.

Bending down in front of him, my fingers rake through his hair almost instinctively.

"How can someone be this handsome?" I whisper to him before I lean in to kiss his cheek but in one swift moment his lips connect with mine.

He wasn't asleep?

"Thanks, baby." He whispers back with a smirk after the kiss.

"You were pretending to sleep?" I ask with a grin.

"I wouldn't say that. When you came back from putting Shams to sleep I wasn't feeling very sleepy anymore." He tells me, moving the stray hairs away from my face.
