Yoongi slept soundly that night, even with his boyfriend lying beside him. A happy smile played on his lips as he replayed his earlier encounter in his mind. He couldn't pinpoint exactly what made him so content—was it the comforting revelation that Namjoon wasn't in a relationship, or the lighthearted conversation he had with Taehyung? Regardless, the exchange made him feel less alone in the world.

Taehyung was like him, having endured similar struggles. But unlike Yoongi, Taehyung had found a good partner and was genuinely happy. Surprisingly, Yoongi didn't feel jealousy or sadness about this. Instead, he felt a flicker of hope, a possibility that things could get better.

The next morning, Yoongi woke to the sound of the doorbell ringing. Startled, he opened his eyes and looked around, noticing that his boyfriend was gone. His eyes settled on the bedside clock—it was past 10 a.m. He had slept in, a rare occurrence given his usual light sleep and frequent insomnia. He hadn't even noticed his boyfriend getting up and leaving. Even more surprising, the baby hadn't fussed enough to wake him painfully.

With a sleepy grunt, Yoongi got up slowly, the doorbell ringing again reminding him there was someone outside. A wave of anxiety washed over him at the thought of interacting with a stranger. Who could it be? He wasn't expecting anyone, and he hadn't ordered anything that could arrive so promptly, especially on a weekend.

Begrudgingly, he waddled his way to the front door, pausing to fix himself in the mirror beside it. He peeked through the peephole and saw Taehyung standing there with his signature boxy smile, patiently waiting. Taehyung hadn't noticed Yoongi was already on the other side and rang the doorbell once more. That prompted Yoongi to finally open the door.

"Taehyung-shi? Is something the matter?" Yoongi asked, his voice still groggy with sleep.

"Hyung! Please don't be too formal, just call me Taehyung-ie," Taehyung replied cheerfully, his smile widening.

"O-okay?" Yoongi stammered, still taken aback.

"Morning! Did you sleep well?" Taehyung asked, his enthusiasm radiating despite the early hour.

"I did, actually," Yoongi admitted, a small smile forming. "But, can I know what you're doing here so early?" He asked, his curiosity piqued.

"It's your birthday!" Taehyung announced with a grin.

"I know..." Yoongi replied, a bit puzzled. It was in fact the day after, but those were mere details.

"So you should totally celebrate it!" Taehyung declared, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I-I don't think so..." Yoongi hesitated, feeling reluctance and a bit overwhelmed by Taehyung's energy.

"Oh, c'mon hyung, you were sadly blowing a candle all alone in a park just a few hours ago," Taehyung said, his tone gently teasing.

"Thank you for the reminder," Yoongi replied, rolling his eyes but unable to suppress a small smile.

"Your better future won't come if you don't fight for it!"
