As they pulled up to their apartment building, the night had already settled in, casting shadows across the pavement. Taehyung scrambled out of the car in a hurry, his urgency evident as he dashed towards the entrance. He had been relentlessly pestering Namjoon to speed up the journey, fearing an embarrassing accident in the car seat if they didn't reach their destination soon.

Yoongi empathized with his predicament, recalling all too well the discomfort of a full bladder. Thankfully, he had taken a bathroom break just before they left, sparing himself the urgency that now plagued Taehyung.

As he stepped out of the vehicle, he couldn't help but chuckle at Taehyung's frantic pace, contrasting with his own deliberate movements hindered by the weight of his belly and the strain on his body.

"I'll give you a hand carrying the bags up to your apartment," Namjoon offered, stepping closer to relieve Yoongi of some of the burden.

"Alright, but please, let me carry a few," Yoongi insisted, not wanting to seem helpless.

"Okay, okay. You can take this one," Namjoon relented, handing over a single bag.

"Just one?" Yoongi questioned, raising an eyebrow in mock disbelief.

"That's the deal. And if you keep insisting, I might just make a run for it with the rest," Namjoon teased, a playful glint in his eyes.

"Ugh, you're impossible," Yoongi muttered, though a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

"That's rich, coming from you, hyung," Namjoon quipped back, matching Yoongi's smile with one of his own.

They entered the building, their steps measured and deliberate as they made their way to the old elevator. Yoongi couldn't fathom tackling the stairs in his current state of exhaustion.

"I really enjoyed spending the day with the two of you. Thank you so much for making my birthday special," Yoongi expressed gratefully, his eyes softening as he looked at Namjoon.

"We barely did anything special, hyung," Namjoon replied modestly, shrugging as if their efforts were nothing.

"Spending time with me and helping me forget all about my miserable life... that's definitely something special to me," Yoongi insisted, sincerity lacing his words as he held Namjoon's gaze, his appreciation clear.

"I'm glad we were able to make you laugh. I hope you spend more time with us in the future," Namjoon said as they stood side by side in front of the lift, waiting for its slow descent to their current floor.

The proximity between them felt strangely comforting, with Yoongi acutely aware of Namjoon's warmth enveloping him.
