Two days passed in the blink of an eye. Both Taehyung and Namjoon devoted themselves to caring for Yoongi, pampering him and seizing every moment to keep him company, distracting him from his troubles.

The day after they retrieved all of Yoongi's belongings from the neighboring apartment, an unexpected knock came at the door while Yoongi was in the shower. Taehyung immediately tensed up, and Namjoon quickly instructed his brother to ensure that Yoongi wouldn't come out and overhear his ex.

Taehyung hurried into his bedroom, which had an ensuite bathroom that Yoongi was using, and locked the door. He put on some music, ready with an excuse if Yoongi emerged, saying he just felt like listening to music and dancing.

Namjoon stepped out of his apartment, his jaw clenched tightly as he confronted Yoongi's ex. He squared his shoulders and puffed out his chest, trying to appear more intimidating. Though he was only slightly taller than the other man, Namjoon's gym-honed physique gave him an edge.

"What do you want?" Namjoon asked, his voice dripping with acidity.

"I need to speak with Yoongi." The man replied, his expression carefully controlled.

"You need to leave him alone," Namjoon retorted, his eyes narrowing.

"Don't fucking meddle in what isn't your concern," the man snapped back, trying to mask his frustration.

"It became my concern the moment you became violent towards a pregnant person," Namjoon stated, stepping into the man's personal space.

He felt a surge of protectiveness and anger, his heart pounding in his chest. He could see the flicker of uncertainty in the man's eyes, but it was quickly masked by defiance.

"You might not know this, but I do, since I've worked firsthand with the Breeder Take-in Squad. You could get five years in prison for physical and mental abuse towards a male breeder." Namjoon's voice was firm and unyielding, his fists clenched at his sides. "So if you don't want to end up in jail, leave Yoongi alone and forget he ever existed."

The man's face twisted into a sneer. "Fuck you," he spat, trying to hide his fear behind bravado. He took a step closer, his posture aggressive but desperate. Namjoon's words had struck a nerve.

"He's too much of a pussycat to press charges. It was just a fucking slap, not like I punched or kicked him." The man's voice wavered slightly, betraying his attempt to appear unfazed.

Namjoon's anger flared at the casual admission of abuse. He felt a knot of frustration and helplessness tightening in his stomach. He stared the man down, his gaze unwavering. How could anyone be so dismissive of their actions?

"And since you have no proof, good luck making that stick." He sneered again. "Tell that bitch that I'll see him in court in a few months," the man continued, his voice dripping with contempt. "Because unlike him, I have proof that he's unstable and incapable of providing for that child."

Namjoon's heart sank at the threat, but he refused to show any weakness. His mind raced with thoughts of how to protect Yoongi and his unborn child. The man's words stung, but they also strengthened Namjoon's resolve.
