"What is your problem now?" i sigh, watching as my girlfriend slams the cupboard doors in the kitchen from the sofa, obviously angry about something. This has been happening a lot recently. One of us getting annoyed at the other, but what irritates me the most is Leah won't tell me what I've done to piss her off unless I ask.

"Are you incapable of tidying up after yourself" she practically yells at me, at this point I'm getting fed up so I get up to inspect the mess I have apparently created and not cleaned up

"Are you serious" i chuckle in disbelief, looking at the tiny bit of cereal I had left on the counter after pouring myself a bowl  earlier.
"It's like 3 cheerios" i say, dramatically picking them up and putting them in the bin

Leah just huffs at my actions, obviously thinking it's a bigger deal then I do.

"That's not the point y/n it's the principle. You're in my house so at least have the respect to clean up after yourself" she says turning her back to me as she loaded the dishwasher. I know she probably didn't mean for that sentence to affect me the way it did but I didn't want people to think I lacked respect especially not my girlfriend, so it just angered me more.

"So now you're saying I don't have any respect for you." I say raising my eyebrows as I take a step back from her

"I'm just going to go home then, I don't want to disrespect you, Leah" I say, my words laced with more sarcasm than I intended.

I watch her, waiting for her to tell me to stay, but she continues to load the dishwasher, completely disregarding my words.

I sigh, shaking my head before grabbing my car keys off the kitchen island and walking to the door. I hated fighting with her but recently it seems we can't go a day without arguing over the smallest things. Maybe a bit of space would do us good.

I open the door, stepping out into the usual London weather. It's pouring down so I run to my car, unlocking it as I do. Once I'm in I turn it on quickly, blaring the hot air con to try and warm myself up and as I'm waiting, I rub my hands down my face, groaning. Frustrated at the situation and how we're both so stubborn, which is the main reason we are clashing heads right now.

I arrived home after a few minutes, getting  out of my car and once again running to my door and unlocking to try and avoid getting soaked. My house felt cold, like no one had lived in it for a while which was basically the truth. I had been staying at Leah's for the last month, only returning home to pick up clothes and other essentials.

Once I settled on the sofa, after showering and changing into my pajamas I put on a film trying to distract myself. I missed Leah and I hated that we were fighting right now.

It was late now, and I had been told by so many people to not go to bed angry and it's a statement I agreed with. So deciding to get over my childish attitude I grabbed my phone, clicking onto Leah's name and typing out my apology. But before I could send it there was a knock at my door. Thinking it was weird that someone was at my door this late at night I was a bit wary of opening it but once I looked through the peephole and saw Leah's soaked silhouette I quickly unlocked it and pulled it open.

"It's pouring rain and you're soaked, why are you here?" I asked but soon regretted my question when I noticed Leah's wet cheeks, and red eyes. She was crying

"I don't want to break up, I don't want to fight anymore. I hate fighting with you. I've just been so tired lately and I have so much going on with England and Arsenal and I've just been taking it out on you and it's not okay, I know it's not okay." She let out through choaked sobs

"Hey calm down, I'm not going to break up with you. It's normal for couples to fight, that's doesn't change how much I love you.I understand you're stressed right now but you need to talk to me so I can understand. We just need to communicate more so we're not getting under each other's skin" I told her before pulling her into a hug, not caring that my clothes soon became as sodden as hers as I pulled her closer

Her cries soon slowed but her body began to shake, probably because she was stood in the rain in only shorts and a t shirt, i don't know what she was thinking.

"Why did u come in shorts and a t shirt Leah, it's pissing down" I say chuckling softly at her stupidity

"I don't know, I didn't think " she sighed
"I just wanted to get here before you went to bed, I wouldn't of been able to sleep knowing we were fighting" she told me as I wiped her cheeks with a small smile on my face

"Come on, u need to change out of these clothes. Go and find something to wear and I'll make you a drink" I told her as I led her to the stairs before I went into the kitchen and began making her a hot chocolate hoping it would help warm her up

She emerged into the kitchen, wearing one of my jumpers and a pair of tracksuit bottoms. I walked over to her placing a soft kiss on her lips and passing her the steaming mug

"Feel better?" I asked as we snuggled under a blanket on the sofa

"I do now" she said, letting out a content sigh as I pressed play on the film I was watching before I was interrupted by my half drowned girlfriend

I knew no matter how much we fought we would always be okay in the end.
