The first round of exams go by, and on the last paper, mingi feels like he's walking on clouds.

"WE DID IT, MINGIIIII WE CAN REST, I CAN SLEEP, ONLY FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT YIPPEEE!!!" Hongjoong exclaims after the last paper. They share a hug, before he runs off to find seonghwa. Mingi misses the times it was just him and hongjoong.

He doesn't have the time to dwell on these thoughts. He's got a song to produce. After the last class at 12pm, he meets Jongho, Sera and Yunho at the studio to record the rest of the song. Most of it goes smoothly, and the rush of adrenaline mingi feels as he can finally connect with music drives him to work even harder. They record some ad-libs as well, and once they have all the recordings, mingi begins to piece them together. This is where the magic takes place. Although, it's mingi's first time editing a song using such high tech software, and so the group has to explore every single button and tool on the pc.

They agree to minimise the use of auto tune, or any tool that changes the sound of their voices, they wanted it as original and as close to a live performance as possible.

It takes them 4 hours to finalise everything.

"And we're done. This is it guys." Mingi says, then he clicks on play.

The song starts running. It's like a secret portal is opening as the first note plays, accompanied by Sera's strong start to the song. It isn't a particularly catchy song, it's more of a soothing motivational one, with the combination of drum beats and guitar in the background. Everything ties so well together, creating a beautiful flow that enhances at meaning of the lyrics. They get to the chorus, and it sounds like the blooming of a flower, if that had a sound. The three vocalists each have their strengths, and it is all encapsulated in the song. Mingi feels himself tearing up by the time they get to the bridge, where he hears Yunho's soothing tone lifting him back into the clouds. When the song comes to an end, they're clapping, crying, complimenting one another for the good work.

Mingi can no longer hold back his tears as they come streaming down his face, dripping onto his shirt. His dream has just come true.

Jongho and Sera are hugging, completely oblivious to him. But Yunho notices, and hands mingi a tissue to wipe his tears. Then without warning, Yunho wraps his arms around mingi chest, pulling him into his embrace.

Mingi's mind goes blank. He swears his heart stops beating (Yunho can probably sense that too). He is also too scared to breathe, afraid it'll weird Yunho out if he accidentally breathed a little too hard.

"Just breathe, mingi-ya." He hears Yunho say, feeling a warm hand rubbing up and down his back. He exhales sharply, allowing himself to sink into Yunho's embrace.

They stay like that for a moment, until jongho clears his throat and they separate instantly. "I have an announcement to make." Jongho begins. "Sera and I are dating." He says, holding up their interlocked fingers.

Yunho claps and congratulates them, while mingi can't stop laughing. "We all knew that jjong-ah," mingi struggles to catch his breath because he's laughing so hard.

"Hyung, shut up."

Mingi stops laughing. He ruffles jongho's hair, and tells him to take good care of Sera, who blushes when jongho says something cheesy.

"Enough flirting, let's go eat!" Mingi declares, saving the completed track in his thumbdrive before slipping it into his wallet.

They're heading down the stairs to the cafeteria when a commotion can be heard at the bottom. Mingi recognises one of the voices. They move quickly to observe the situation, which unfolds itself to be a fight; the same guy that bullies hongjoong and mingi is towering over a smaller sized boy, with one foot pressed firmly on his thigh. The boy is clearly in pain.
