Satoru had left the room to let you rest. Megumi stayed by your side, resting his head on your bedside. Kiyoko was fast asleep (her first nap!) and Satoru was sure it would be a while before any of the three woke up.

He opened his phone and saw many messages. Everyone asked about the birth, the gender, whether you were alright. He would reply eventually, but only one thing was on his mind right now.

He teleported himself there. Outside the small dingy apartment that they were staying at now.

He knocked softly.

He heard footsteps hurry over to the door. Light footsteps. The footsteps of a child. But then louder footsteps were heard, hurrying and seemingly making it to the door first. Satoru saw the very slight turn of the doorknob.

Suguru could probably tell it was him.

"I understand!"

It took a few moments but Suguru opened the door. He quickly pulled Satoru inside.

Their apartment was spotless. Suguru was a clean person, after all.

Satoru noted the two girls hiding under the table. They were older now. Around Megumi's age, if he remembered correctly.

Satoru placed his hand on his chest, bunching up his shirt. "I completely understand. I would kill everyone for them. Everyone in the world. Even you!"

Suguru let out a laugh, in complete disbelief. "Are you insane, Satoru?" His tone was as light hearted as ever.

"I have a beautiful baby girl now," Satoru explained, his words rushed. "She's my whole world, I love her so much, and I only met her like half an hour ago. And my wonderful wife, oh my god. I never thought I could be so... so taken by someone? I don't know but I love it! And remember Toji's kids? They've been my whole life too. I love them, and when I find that fuck of a curse that put Tsumiki in a coma, I'll kill it in the most brutal way possible--"

"Alright!" Suguru waved his arms, before bringing his hands down on Satoru's shoulders. "I get it! Don't swear in front of my girls, please?"

Satoru let out a huff. "Oh yeah. My bad."

Suguru pat Satoru's shoulder again, grinning. "I'm happy for you, man. I'm sure you'll figure the coma thing out. And... I'm glad you forgive me. I'm glad you get it, I really am, but it's not good for either of us to get caught like this."

Satoru shrugged. "Come on. We're the strongest-"

"It's not just us anymore, though." Suguru gestured back to his girls. "It's them. And your kid. And Toji's kids. And your wife. We can't risk putting them in danger."

Satoru gaped at him. "So... you're still gonna be on the run? You're gonna hide away forever?"

Suguru shrugged. "Until you kill all the elders, maybe. I gotta keep my kids safe."

Satoru sighed. He stayed silent a few moments before looking up. "I'll send you money."

"Huh?"

"I know things are tough money wise right now," Satoru huffed. "I wanna help with that much, at least."

Suguru shook his head. "Won't your wife get suspicious about where it's going?"

"I'll tell her-"

"And put her in danger?" Suguru asked, raising a brow. "Or, honestly, do you think she'll be happy about you doing this, coming to visit me? I'm a mass murderer, and she doesn't know me. I know you Satoru. I know you bottle up your feelings. I know you probably haven't told her anything about me."

Satoru's brows furrowed. Suguru was right. Satoru didn't tell you he knew where Suguru was, in case the elders tried to force it out of you. He didn't tell you that he still cared for Suguru as a brother, because you didn't know him. You only knew of him through terrible reports and rumours.

"Okay, okay," Satoru sighed. "I'll give you money at the same time I give Mei money."

Suguru raised a brow. "Why do you give Mei money?"

Satoru waved him off. "You've missed a lot. But we can make this work. I wanna help you, Suguru." Satoru took a deep breath. "You're my best friend."

Suguru smirked. "Your one and only?"

Satoru rolled his eyes, snorting. "Shut up. I gotta wife now."

And that wife got suspicious.

So she did what wives do best when they get suspicious.

She snooped.

Nanako opened the door that day.

She raised an eyebrow at you. "We're too broke to give money to charity. Don't bother."

"Is Getou Suguru here?"

Her eyes widened. She quickly tried to slam the door shut but you activated your technique.

Nanako's entire body relaxed, working against her. You walked through the door, letting her slowly shut it behind you. Another girl was lazing on the couch, but she jumped to her feet when you came in.

You snapped Nanako's body out of the trance you put her in.

She immediately began to yell, which apparently caught the attention of the man you were looking for, since he raced out, clearly ready to attack. His eyes widened as he saw you. He seemed to recognize you. You were certain as to why.

"Satoru showed you pictures of me, I'm guessing?"

Suguru didn't know what to say.

You shrugged, tugging at your clothes. "I'm guessing they were more flattering pictures though. I still look pregnant now, but without the glowiness."

"No, no," Suguru rushed. "You're really pretty. Much prettier in person."

You nodded. "So, you know me." Suguru paused. No way you just made him answer you like that. "And that means Satoru's been seeing you recently, seeing as you weren't startled by the pregnancy thing."

"Hey, hey, look," Suguru said, as he watched you think. He didn't want to give you time to be mad. "Satoru didn't want to hide all this from you, I told him to hide it because I was worried it would put you and all the kids in danger, and I know, I know you think I'm a mass murderer and I have to admit, it's technically true-"

"Stop." You said, putting your hand out. "Aren't you the composed one? I know you care about Satoru, but to turn into a rambling mess and only blame yourself about this... I mean Satoru was obviously the one who came to you."

Suguru shook his head. "You don't get it, we're best friends and he had this sudden epiphany, so he rushed over but he wasn't thinking straight!"

"Quit interrupting my thinking," you huffed, scratching the back of your neck. "Look, if there's one thing I will always believe in...

it's that, I trust Satoru. More than anything."

Suguru's eyes widened. "So...?"

"So, I know he wouldn't be around you, especially with us having Kiyo now... unless you were a good guy. I just wanted to meet you myself, really."

"You... that's it? You're not, like... mad?"

You shrugged. "You love Satoru, right?"

Suguru nodded hesitantly. "He's my best friend."

"Then I think that makes you a good person already. Everyone who truly appreciates Satoru is wonderful... and honestly, I think you're the first person who ever did appreciate him."

Suguru couldn't fight his smile.

"Geez," he huffed, running a hand over his face. "No wonder that idiot married you."

I luv Suguru (but the amount I write for Satoru kinda contradicts that lol)
