(and can you make it last forever)

Satoru is not a panicker.

He doesn't panic. That's not his thing.

He's overly relaxed on the outside. And sure, he's a thinker, but he's usually still pretty calm on the inside.

But when all the talisman's burned red, he felt himself panic.

And he felt like a pretty shitty teacher when he realized it wasn't totally because of his students.

It was you, too.

"Is the game over?" Utahime asked, dumbfounded by what had just happened. "They all burned red."

"That's odd," Mei commented. "My crows didn't see anything."

Satoru leaned forwards in his chair, his hands fidgeting around as he rambled. "I'd love to say that the students of Great Teacher Gojo exorcised them all, but I doubt it."

"Remember, they also burn red for unregistered cursed energy," Yaga said.

"So, what are you thinking? Are you suspecting it's an outsider?" Utahime asked.

"If that's the case, that means Tengen's barrier isn't working," Mei said.

"Whether it's because of some outsider or not, something unexpected is happening here." Gakuganji looked over at Satoru. "May it have something to do with the absence of your wife?"

Satoru felt a pang in his chest. At the mention of you. And from the reference of you as his wife.

Yaga stood up. "I'm going to see Tengen. Satoru and Principal gakyganji, please protect the students. Mei, it's best you stay here and pinpoint all the students' locations. Stay in constant contact with the other two."

"Understood," Mei smiled. "I look forward to the bonus money."

Satoru stood up and clapped his hands together. "Go on, on your feet, gramps! You and I are taking a walk. You just finished your lunch? Good to go?"

If anyone had the ability to read minds, they knew Satoru was really thinking that he wanted this old fucker to get up already.

Gakuganji didn't give off a reaction, and Utahime was quick to usher everyone out.

When Satoru was faced with a veil that only kept him out, his frustration grew. But the good thing was that, everyone could leave, if they had the chance. Knowing his students, he was sure that Panda and possibly Nishimiya from Kyoto, would bring back the injured.

He hoped you wouldn't be part of that pile, but clearly hope wasn't enough.

As Satoru worked on taking the veil down, Panda came rushing out, with people in his arms.

"Gojo-sensei?!" Panda exclaimed.

Satoru hurried over, looking at the people in Panda's arms; Maki and Megumi. They were injured, but both looked more annoyed than hurt at the moment, probably due to the embarrassment of being in such a state.

Megumi, despite the pain of his injuries, noticed Satoru's slightly panicked gaze. He'd taken his blindfold off as he worked on bringing down the veil. Megumi was debating on whether or not he should lie.

"Y/N's injured too," Megumi huffed. "So figure out how to bring the veil down quick."

Satoru took a moment to process before grinning at Megumi half heartedly. "Talk when you don't have blood pouring out of you buddy." As Megumi rolled his eyes, Satoru waved off Panda. "Hurry to Shoko."

Panda nodded, and hurried off, with the two in his arms.

Satoru focused back on the veil, cracking his fingers.

Satoru looked around, once he brought down the veil. He noticed the curse that he'd seen before, when he fought the volcano head. But Toge and Itadori seemed to have it under control. He went down, helping Gakuganji take down the coat rack guy that he was fighting. When Satoru sensed that the person near Utahime was gone, he knew he could focus on the curse that Yuji was fighting.

But he couldn't.

Because he could pinpoint everyone else but you, and it was extremely frustrating. Even at his level up above everyone else, he couldn't spot you.

So he didn't want to use purple hollow.

But he knew you. He was sure he did, even just a little bit. And he was sure you knew him.

And the second you sensed it, you would move.

That was exactly what you did.

You were leaning against a tree, focusing on tightening the clothes that you'd wrapped around the place where the cursed spirit had sliced your upper arm, when you could feel the amp up of Satoru's technique. You knew that the veil had come down, but you kept yourself hidden to be safe.

Maybe you should've been more obvious about where you were. (Maybe you should trust him a bit more).

You scrambled up, moving as fast as you could, while wincing with your injuries. When Satoru's purple hollow finally hit, you'd thrown yourself against a tree, feeling as though you'd just narrowly missed being caught up in it.

Once Satoru reassured the others, despite knowing that they weren't in the best of situations at the moment, he was able to sense your cursed energy again.

He quickly teleported himself to the very damaged point of the woods you were in, leaning against a tree, huffing loudly as the blood loss was getting to you.

"Hey," Satoru came forwards, reaching his hand out to you. He looked down at your arm, the one you gripped onto as it bled out. Your body was badly bruised, and you'd clearly dealt with the brunt of lots of injuries.

"Hey," you huffed, through gritted teeth. "You should've seen this curse... it basically had the same technique I do, so I wasn't the best person against it, huh?"

"Yeah..." Satoru nodded, his hands carefully hovering over your barely bandaged up injury. You took off another part of your uniform and handed it over to him, silently. He nodded and wrapped it around your arm. "I've seen it... it was one of the curses I dealt with when I left Ijichi with Kiyo."

"Oh...?" You didn't know that. "I..." You shook your head. "I'm sorr-- "

Satoru hushed you. "You don't have to be. I'm just... glad you're alright."

You smiled. "Yeah... yeah, me too." Satoru's hands slowly left you as he finished tying up your clothes around your arm. You hesitated for a moment.

But then you reached out your good arm, pulling Satoru into a hug.

Satoru's hands froze around your body. You felt his entire body go slightly rigid, probably from the shock of the sudden movement. As you were about to let go and apologize, he relaxed, letting his arms wrap around your middle lightly, to avoid hurting you anymore.

"Thank you, Satoru. For a lot of things."

Aw geez. If your arm wasn't bleeding out, Satoru would want this to last forever.

He took in a deep breath and bit his tongue, to keep himself from saying his favourite three words to say around you.
