The other day ~ Friday
While walking home suddenly a car comes very close to me and stops. It was a black Chevrolet SUV. The windows were tinted and I couldn't see anyone else inside. For a second I thought maybe it could be someone stopping by to know the route. I stood there for five seconds and started to walk again.
'Ms Harvey', a heavy and loud voice called my name out. I turned to look from where my name was called out. A man in his fifties wearing a black tux but when he came closer I got a proper over view of the tux. It was looking expensive only millionaires or rich people could afford it. It's not that we aren't rich but yeah we aren't as rich as to be a millionaire. His hair was deep black with a golden highlight on the left side above his ear. His eyes were blue similar to- Ryan? No I don't think so. My subconscious tells me. There were two guards standing right behind him after I moved my eyes from that man.
'Yes', I looked at him clearly not having any idea who he is and how does he know my name. Are they here after seeing the dance competition or to offer me to perform in other big events. The excitement ran through my veins and the excitement was making my stomach flutter.
He walks towards me giving me a clear picture of his face.
'Isha Harvey right', he looks at me and I nod clearly having no idea who this man is.
'And yo..', I wanted to know who he is but got interrupted by him.
'So your the one who is hanging out with my son', what? His son? Who?
'Your son?', I give him a confused look and he chuckles
'Yeah my son. Ryan Wellenton. I have been seeing lately that my son is been hanging out with a street dancer', After he said that my head started to spin and all the old memories returned back. How does he know about my street performances. No one else knew it other than my own mother. Not even my best friend- Anaya either Shrey. How does he know.
'Surprised aren't you. Well let me come straight to the point. People like you should not try to fit in with people who are way out of your league or you can say range or well let me put it in much simpler words people who are richer and have a name.', He says and my blood boils. How cheap can a person be who has everything that he wants.
'Sir, everyone have their own potential and not everyone likes to sit in a room discussing about money. People choose their passion over money thought how much ever money you offer it will never provide happiness', I say with a small smile on my face. Sure right now his blood is boiling.
'That's what you think kid. People like are not meant to be part of society and are meant to live on streets.', I want to smack his face. How could he say that to me. But I chose to stay calm.
'Whatever sit. People like you who have such cheap thoughts about dance and people who look at it in a very unrefined manner are a actual reason for the people who can't come up in their lives. Because people like you are completely ashamed. Sorry to say sir but everyone can't become a money printing machine.', I shout and turn around.
'Say hi to your mom', I stopped right there when he said that. How does he know my mom. Has he been keeping an eye on me.
'How do you know my mother', instead of saying mom I preferred saying mother.
'Well how could I not know her. She is a very hard working women in my office. I keep appreciating for her excellent work. Because of her work the company is going in profit. But just imagine, if I throw her out from the company she will get no work any where specially not a high paying job.', I liked the way he was appreciating my mom. I know she is very hard working but the moment he said that I wanted to kill him. Does he think that if this old man throws her out of the company she won't get a job. My mom works in SwapJet and this man is the boss.
'You would not do that. Don't you respect people's efforts. Specially the efforts are being put in to make profit for your god damn company. You will not do that', stressing on my last words.
'Well then lets have a deal them', He looks up.
'What type of deal', my voice curious
'You will stay away from my son and I will not throw your mother out', what type of a bull shit deal is this. My mom has worked really hard to get a highest post in the company. If she goes jobless it will break her completely. She can't sit idle at home. She loves to work. Though my dad earns pretty good and now is in LA but all the expenses of house is taken care by my mom. I don't want my dad to change his job. Already he is at his highest position. I do miss my dad but I don't want him to give up on his job and come back. It's better if I stay away from Ryan. When am around him it drives me crazy. He drives me crazy with his mind games. It's better that I stay away from him and build my future. There was something that attracted me towards him. His smile made me happy because he usually doesn't smile or laugh much. Our kiss plays in my head every single time. His lips running over mine makes he melt. I forget all the negative stuff when am with him.
'Deal', I blurt out. I know it will hurt him. Will it really hurt him? He will probably find some other girl to go on a date and hook up. Thinking about it makes my stomach churn.
'You have two days. And if I still see you around him, your mother's resignation letter will be in her hands.', he says leaving me stunned and get back in his car. I gulp hard trying to prevent my tears from flowing in my eyes.
