Chapter 26

After Ryan dropped me home, I went straight to my room. I had enough for today. The fight between Ryan and David was totally unexpected. I wanted to speak to David and apologize for what so ever happened so far. 

I picked my phone and sent him a text asking me to meet me near my house. He read the text, but didn't seem to reply for the next two minutes. I regret for sending him a message, knowing that Ryan would definitely get mad when I tell him. I don't have to tell him each and every thing what I do, but this was necessary. I heard a notification popping up, it was David. He agreed to meet me. He said he would be there in next twenty minutes. 

I changed my clothes and went down to meet him. He sent me a text saying that he arrived.

"Hey", he got down from his car and walked towards me.

"Hey"

"Are you okay?", pointing towards his mark.

"Yeah...yeah it's fine....now", there was an awkward silence for a few seconds.

"I called you here because, I just wanted to apologize what happened today in school and so far the things are not going so great", he looked up, waiting for me to say something more.

"It's not your fault. It's Ryan that's it. His' a complete dick", I agreed. Ryan is actually a dick but not always. He is changing.

"I guess not always", I defended him.

He chuckled.

"I guess then you don't know him well", it was true I didn't know about his complete world, but that doesn't mean I don't know him.

"See you then", I know we both would end up arguing about him which I didn't want right now. I was too tired for it.

"Cool", he didn't say anything and walked back to his car.

My mother was sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for me. She already made my dinner and kept it on the table where I usually sit.

"How was your day", It went really great mom. Ryan and David got into a fight, having bruises on eachother's face. He got expelled, I was called by principal. Because, he locked David in the washroom so that he couldn't perform with me and instead of him showing up Ryan showed up. And guess what I won. I wanted to yell it out so loud. This was the second time I was explaining my head what exactly happened.

"It was great. You remember about the competition right? I won, first that too", her facial expression changed from serious to excitement. She jumped from her seat and walked towards mine. She gave me a tight hug, almost making me chock.

"Congratulations", you should have informed me before, we could have gone out. Thank god I didn't inform her, I was very tired to make another trip.

"It's fine mom, am tired today. Maybe some other day, when I achieve something great"

"You should get into Howard", I knew she would say that. This competition made it easy for me to get into Howard. I just need to submit the application with all the documents.

"Yes mom, this will make it more easy", she looked overjoyed now.

"Atleast we can go get some icecream right?", what part of her can't understand that I don't want to go anywhere. Am happy that she is happy with the achievement.

"Mom, lets go tomorrow, am really exhausted", 

"It's your birthday tomorrow, you'll be busy with your friends, where will you have time for this old lady", the second line hit me. Was that necessary? 

"Oh god mom, ofcourse I will have time for you", she gave me a kiss on my cheek and went to her room. 

It hit me when I realized that Ryan wouldn't be in school tomorrow to celebrate my birthday. I'll finally turn eighteen, totally independent. I can do whatever I want to.

I sat down on the sofa and switched on my tv. After scrolling for ten minutes I finally found a horror movie. I have an obsession with horror movies. I wrapped a blanket around my body, when I checked the time it was only seven-thirty. I can complete the movie by nine-thirty. 

After watching the movie for almost forty-five minutes, I got a notification. I forgot to turn the notification volume down. My heart was in my mouth when I heard the loud notification ring. I paused the movie, and opened it.

"Hey babe", I received a message from Ryan, I blushed.

"What are you doing.... lemme guess missing me"

"A movie is enough for me to not miss you"

"Movie? Don't tell me you watching another god damn horror movie", he knew it.

"Yeah, I am. Wanna join?", I grinned.

"Hell no, but yeah I would love to be beside you, wrapping my hands around your sexy waist and do much more", I could feel the heat raising in my cheeks.

"Sure, that's what keeps going in your head", the message got delivered. He went offline. I frowned. Maybe he just went to washroom or someone called him. I kept my phone aside. I want him beside me so bad. The way his hands move on my body, generates trembling, the way he kisses my lips. I want to do the same with him right now.

I resumed the movie.
