The dawn illuminated the streets of NeoLumen with a light that they had not seen in a long time. Citizens, still stunned by the abrupt fall of the Supreme Council, began to leave their homes and shelters. There was a growing murmur, a mix of fear and hope, as people gathered in the squares and avenues, searching for answers and leaders they could trust.

Lía watched from the roof of a building, her gaze fixed on the horizon. She knew that this was just the beginning and that the real battle was yet to come. Beside her, Marcos and Ana were preparing to address the growing crowd.
"We have to make sure people understand what's happening," Lía said, her voice determined but tired. —We cannot allow the power vacuum to turn into chaos.
"Then let's talk to them," Marcos responded, adjusting his jacket and wiping his face of the blood and dust from the night before.
They descended from the building and headed to the central plaza, where hundreds of people had already gathered. The faces reflected a mixture of disbelief, relief and fear. Some carried makeshift flags, others banners calling for justice and freedom.
Lía climbed onto an improvised platform, taking a speaker. The murmur of the crowd stopped as they began to recognize her as the voice she had spoken on screens and speakers across the city.
"Citizens of NeoLumen," she began, her voice ringing strong and clear, "we have taken down the Supreme Council, but our fight is not over. The freedom we have won is fragile and we must protect it with all our strength.
A murmur of agreement ran through the crowd. Lía continued, her gaze encompassing everyone present.
—For years, we have lived under the yoke of an oppressive regime that denied us our most basic rights. Today, at the dawn of a new era, we must unite to build a just and free society. Let's not allow chaos to take over us. Organizing and working together is essential to ensure our future.
From the back of the crowd, a middle-aged man, his face marked by years of suffering, raised his hand. Lía nodded, giving him the floor.
—How can we be sure that we will not fall into another tyranny? —He asked, his voice full of skepticism.
"We must learn from the past," replied Lía. Transparency and citizen participation will be our strongest weapons. We cannot allow power to be concentrated in the hands of a few. True democracy will be our shield.
While Lía spoke, Ana and Marcos distributed food and water to the crowd. It was a small gesture, but symbolic of the new era they wanted to establish: an era of solidarity and cooperation.
Suddenly, a roar echoed in the distance. Lía looked up and saw a column of black smoke rising from the industrial sector of the city. Her heart raced; not all of the Council's followers had been defeated.
"We have to go there," Lía said to Marcos and Ana. "We can't allow the remnants of the Council to wreak havoc."
Gathering a group of volunteers, Lía headed towards the source of the smoke. The streets were full of rubble and remains of clashes, but also of citizens willing to defend their newly acquired freedom. As they approached, the sound of gunshots and screams became clearer.
The industrial sector was on fire. Several buildings were burning, and the Council's followers, armed and desperate, were trying to regain control. Lía and his group advanced cautiously, using the available cover.
"We can't face them head on," Marcos said. We need a strategy.
Lía nodded, observing the surroundings. He saw an abandoned fuel tank near one of the burning buildings. A dangerous, but necessary idea arose in her mind.
"If we blow up that tank, we could disarm them and disperse them," Lía suggested, his gaze fixed on Marcos.
Marcos nodded, understanding the risk but also the need. They moved quickly, coordinating the volunteers. A small group approached the tank while the rest provided cover.
The moment arrive. A precise shot ignited the tank, and a deafening explosion shook the sector. The fire and resulting chaos disoriented the Council's followers, allowing Lia and his group to advance and disarm them.
By nightfall, the industrial sector was under the control of the resistance. Lia, covered in dust and ashes, looked around her and felt a surge of hope. She knew the fight would be long and difficult, but she also knew they had taken a crucial step toward freedom.
As the smoke cleared and the stars began to shine in the NeoLumen sky, Lía allowed herself a moment of respite. Looking at her companions, she saw in her eyes the same determination that burned in her heart. The city had awakened, and with it, a new era was about to begin.
