The air in the Tower was thick with tension. After the victory against the enemy contingent, the resistance had gained some respite, but they knew it would not last long. Lía, Ana and Marcos were gathered in the planning room, surrounded by maps and documents, discussing next steps.
"The disruptor was a success," Ana said, pointing to a graph on the screen. —But we need to secure our positions and expand our reach if we want to maintain this advantage.
Lía nodded, her thoughts aligned with Ana's.
"We also need to recruit more allies," she said. —There are many in NeoLumen who are fed up with the regime, but don't know how to join us.
Marcos, who had been watching silently, finally spoke.
"I've been working on that," he said. —There are rumors of a faction in the industrial district that has been organizing protests and sabotage. They could be valuable allies.
Lía looked at Marcos with interest.
—Do you have any contact? —He asked.
"Yes, an old friend of mine, Raúl, is involved," Marcos responded. —I can organize a meeting.
Lía nodded, knowing that it was crucial to strengthen her ranks.
"Let's do it," she said. —Every ally counts in this fight.
That same night, Lía, Marcos and a small team headed to the industrial district. The streets were deserted and the atmosphere was oppressive, with the constant presence of surveillance drones and enemy patrols. They moved carefully, avoiding detection, until they reached an abandoned factory, the agreed meeting point.
Raúl, a tall, robust man with an unkempt beard, greeted them with a warm smile.
"Marcos, it's good to see you," he said, shaking the hand of his old friend. He then turned to Lia. —And you must be Lía. I've heard a lot about you.
"Likewise, Raúl," Lía responded. —Thank you for meeting with us.
Raúl led them through a maze of corridors to a large room where a group of people were discussing animatedly. Seeing Lía and her team, the group became silent, observing them with curiosity and caution.
"Comrades, these are our friends from the Tower," said Raúl. —They are fighting for the same cause as us.
Lía stepped forward, her voice firm and clear.
"We know what they've been doing here," he said. —Your protests and sabotage have been an inspiration to many in NeoLumen. We want to join forces. Together, we can make a real difference.
One of the leaders of the group, a young woman named Martha, stood up and addressed Leah.
"We've been waiting for an opportunity like this," she said. —But we need to make sure our people are safe. We can't take risks without a solid plan.
Lía nodded, understanding her concerns.
"We have a plan," she said. —With the help of it, we can expand the range of the disruptor and hit the enemy at key points. We need to coordinate and act quickly, before they reorganize.
Marta exchanged a look with Raúl, who nodded.
"We are with you," Marta finally said. —But we need to know what we need to do.
They spent the next few hours arguing and planning. Raúl and Marta provided valuable information on enemy operations in the industrial district, and together they developed a strategy to expand the disruptor's reach and conduct coordinated attacks on several key points.
At dawn, when the plan was finally underway, Lía felt renewed hope. He knew that this alliance could make a difference in the fight against the enemy.
They returned to the Tower and began organizing equipment for the next phase of the operation. Every member of the resistance was focused and determined, knowing that this was a crucial moment.
Days later, teams fanned out across the city, installing new disruptors and preparing for attacks. Coordination between the various factions was impeccable, and soon, NeoLumen witnessed a series of explosions and sabotage that paralyzed enemy operations.
In the Tower, Lía, Ana and Marcos monitored the situation, their hearts pounding.
"It's working," Ana said, looking at the monitors. —They are in total disarray.
"This is our moment," said Lía. —We can't let them recover.
They organized a massive attack against one of the main enemy bases. With the enemy communications network disrupted and their forces dispersed, the assault was a resounding success. Lía led the attack, fighting on the front line alongside his companions.
By the end of the day, the enemy base was in ruins and the resistance leaders gathered to celebrate the victory.
"We have accomplished a lot today," Lía said, her voice full of emotion. —But the fight is not over. We must move forward, united and strong.
"By NeoLumen," everyone responded in unison.
As the sun set, bathing the city in a golden light, Lía looked around him and felt deep gratitude for his companions and the people and the determination to continue fighting until the end. He knew that each battle brought them closer to the freedom and justice they longed for.
The rebellion grew stronger, and with each step, they were a little closer to definitive victory.
