Mel and her friends all sat around the table as they sang "Happy Birthday" to her. And as they sang she could only think about how lucky she was to have found those people.
"Come on, make a wish!" Phoebe yelled out and Mel took the candle biting it and making a wish.
"What did you wish for?" Charles asked curious.
"If I tell you, it won't happen" She said amused. "Let's dance" Mel said making her way to the dance floor and grabbing Charles' hand.
They all danced, Charles and Amelie with their bodies pressed against each other. Mel laughed and giggled every time he grabbed her or whispered in her ear.
"I have to go the bathroom" She whispered in his ear.
"Ok, call me if you need anything" He told her.

Mel reapplied her gloss looking at the mirror. She made her way out of the bathroom and bumped into a hard chest. She looked up to see a familiar pair of brown eyes.
"Aaron" She muttered fearfully. Her heart dropping. "What are you doing here?" She asked looking to see if there was anyone there in the hallway
"I knew it was your birthday. I came to congratulate you. Congrats" He said with a sarcastic tone and Mel's hands started shaking. "I heard you're dating. A guy that's outside?" He said with a smirk. She hated it. She hated how he made her feel scared. She hated that knew he made her feel like that.
"Goodbye Aaron" she said trying to pass but he blocked the way. "Let me go or I swear I'll scream" she said but praying that he wouldn't get mad. She knew how her ex-boyfriend looked when he was mad.
"I don't think you'll do that" he retorted getting closer to her but she stood firm on her place.
"Try me" she told him and he stared at her before letting her pass. The girl made her way downstairs and ran into Charles arms, who hugged her tightly when he saw her face.
"What happened?" He asked worried.
"I found Aaron upstairs. I- I can't breathe" she told him and he grabbed her hand pulling her outside.
"Sit down love" Charles told her and she obliged. "Close your eyes and take a deep breath" She did so and after a few breaths she calmed down.
He pulled her into his embrace and she hugged him tightly.
"Are you ok?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yeah, he did it on purpose. But I'm fine, let's go" She said standing up to go back to the dance floor and he chuckled. "I don't want this to ruin our night" Charles made a face as if to check if she was truly ok and she smiled.
"Let's go" he answered and kissed her cheek making her smile.
"Charles" she called him and he turned his head. "Yes" he frowned in confusion. "I'll move in with you" she said smiling and he smiled picking her up and spinning her up in the air, kissing her.
