Mel was watching as Charles made the 35th lap. After they had finished moving in, the couple decided to enjoy their time together. Anyone who came across them would believe they were newlyweds, still in honeymoon.
But of course, their lives continued. Charles was at the Chinese GP and like she promised, Amelie went, and she was the loudest cheering for her boyfriend. All of a sudden she felt someone sit next to her.
The girl looked at her side and caught sight of her ex boyfriend. Her blood ran cold. "Aaron?" the girl said in shock
"Came to see your boyfriend. He's a great driver" Aaron said emphasising on the word boyfriend.
"Please don't cause a scene. Just leave" Amelie said trying to keep her composure.
"Nah. I think I'll stay" He told her.
She took a deep breath with her eyes closed before focusing back on her boyfriend's race. The race ended with Charles in third place. Amelie stood up to go congratulate her boyfriend. She passed Aaron making sure not to make eye contact.
"Bye Mel" he said in a teasing tone that made her boil with anger.
The girl didn't respond and just kept walking forward.
She finally caught sight of Charles and ran to him as he spun her in the air. "That was amazing. I'm so proud of you" Mel whispered in Charles ear and he smiled before kissing her.
Their little moment was cut off by the sound of clapping behind them. They pulled away to look at where the sound was coming from.
"Don't stop on my account. You two lovebirds are so precious" Aaron said with a smirk that made Mel's insides twist. "Oh I don't think we've been introduced yet. I'm Aaron, Amelie's ex" he put out his hand for Charles to take.
But the Ferrari driver didn't. "You should go" Charles warned Aaron and the latter just smiled.
"But I just got here. And you know... there's some things I've been meaning to talk to you about" Aaron explained and the couple stayed quiet. Although Charles pulled Mel closer to him by her waist. "That's cute but, hm, when she gets tired of you she's gonna fuck you up" Aaron said and Amelie clenched her jaw.
"When you're no longer what she wants, she just throws you away like you're a piece of shit. I'm warning you man stay away" He said with a bright smile on his face. "That's a lie. I left you because you started being abusive!" Mel whispered yelled.
"I don't recall that sweetie" Aaron mocked her and Charles walked closer to him. "You should leave now otherwise-" He was interrupted by Mel strengthening her grip on Charles. She whispered in his ear. "Don't cause a scene. People are watching" She said and then smiled pointing subtly with her head at where people had their eyes on them.
"Let's just go" Charles told Amelie, grabbing her hand and then starting to walk away.
"I warned you man!" Aaron yelled from afar.
