As the first rays of dawn pierced through the dense canopy, Mia's consciousness fluttered open to the gentle, yet insistent, licking of Mylo. Her eyes, heavy with confusion, took in the emerald tapestry of leaves above, a stark contrast to the bedroom ceiling she expected. The soft moss beneath her served as an unfamiliar bed. Mylo's concerned whimpers and the damp earthy scent filled her senses as she sat up, bewildered.

Mia's gaze swept across the forest, revealing a world untouched by the poison of humanity. Towering trees stood like ancient sentinels, their branches swaying in a silent dance with the breeze. Ferns and wildflowers carpeted the ground, adding splashes of color to the sea of green. A small brook babbled nearby, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the dappled sunlight. Squirrels darted from tree to tree, and the distant call of a woodpecker echoed through the air. Mylo sat alert by her side, his ears perked up as if sensing the pulse of the wild. The forest was alive, a natural masterpiece that both soothed and mystified.

How did she end up here when she was just in her room a few seconds ago? Her mind was hazy making it hard to remember what happened

"I... was at...Mr. Takahashi's home" she murmured as she paced around the unfamiliar forest, trying to search the deepest parts of her brain to get some useful answers, "Which is technically my home now too..." A quick thought came into her mind "Am I ready for the change-"

*Slap*. The sound of her hitting her cheek with her right hand echoed through the dense forest. "No!. Focus Mia. This isn't the time to think about that. There's bigger issues at hand" She told herself "-Like how did I get here and how the hell do I get out!"

She then plopped herself on the moss she previously laid in, thinking that maybe it would help her concentrate more. "Think Mia. Think Mia. Think!". She sat there with her left hand to her chin as if she was imitating The Thinker statue made by Auguste Rodin (A: Search it up if you're confused).

"Ruff. Ruff" Mylo barked, jumping up at Mia's chest only to get pushed away "Mylo no, I'm trying to think," She told the dog off but he was persistent and continued jumping as he growled, his claws scratching at her chest

"Ow Mylo stop!" she told him off once more, pushing him off and checking her décolletage for any scratches he left. That's when she saw it again

"The necklace," she said to herself quietly. Now seeing it, her memory started coming back to her like missing pieces of a broken puzzle.

"The necklace!" She shouted now that she could remember "Mylo, that's what you were trying to tell me huh boy?". Mylo barked. "Before we came...here, this thing was glowing".

Mia looked down at the jewel, holding it in the palms of her hands as she inspected it. At the moment it looked normal. just like how any other necklace should look. "I swear it was glowing some weird...purple light and I felt all dizzy and then everything went black. Now I'm here...but how?" bewildered by the events she was remembering, she dropped her head in her hands.

"Mylo, what in the world is going on? None of this makes sense. "Am I going crazy?" she asked the dog as if she was expecting a proper English sentence to come from him, but of course, all she got was a bark.

"Is this... magic?..." Mia thought before brushing it off "No, Mia, there's no such thing"

She sat there with her dog in the silence of the tall forest, trying to make sense of it all.

"I got it!" She dramatically stood up, excited that she finally had an answer to all this madness "I'm Dreaming"

"Yes! Of course. From the necklace to the forest, This is all just a dream and I have to wake up". The idea felt so obvious that she was surprised she hadn't considered it before. "I just have to wake up. Alright, Mylo bite me as hard as you can'' Mia said, putting her left arm in front of Mylo's snout. The dog looked at her in confusion "Come on, bite me. It will help me wake up from this weird dream" She tried getting his jaw open.
