{Following Mia}

Mia's eyes snapped open. "Hmm. what a weird dream I had" she thought as she was adjusting to her surroundings, still feeling drowsy.

It was pitch black, the kind of dark where you can't even see your hand in front of your face, so she figured it was midnight and tried going back to sleep. "This bed is kinda hard," she noticed, but brushed it off and thinking she was on her bed, she started looking for the blanket to cover herself with but instead touched something else. It felt like a wall.

"Hm. I could have sworn this room was a lot bigger than this. Why can my arms reach to both sides of the walls". She kept feeling around. "...This room is really small". The place was confined, cold, bumpy, and definitely not her bedroom.

She felt around some more, and her hand landed on something cylinder, cold and long. There were multiple of them.

"Great. Where am I this time?! jail?" The panic started to set in as she realized that the whole ordeal wasn't over yet and now she was in a new unfamiliar place. "Ahh!. Why is this happening to me?!!" she shouted burying her face in her hand in frustration.

Then she realized something was off and it wasn't the fact that she was trapped in a dark room. It was too quiet—no familiar snuffling or the soft thud of a wagging tail against the bed frame.

"Mylo?" she called out, her voice sounding small in the enveloping darkness. No response. Not even the jingle of his collar. "Where could he be" she thought with even more panic fluttering in her chest

"Okay. think, think, Mia. What happened this time?"

"We woke up in a forest... then...the bear..it started chasing us and then.." she tried to remember despite her mind still being foggy "Those people!." Mia shot up wanting to stand up but instead hit her head on the short ceiling.

She grimaced in pain as she went back down "Ugh~. That girl and boy...I bet they have something to do with it!".

Just then, the black cloth causing the darkness was lifted off the box, letting in some light and ending the pitch darkness.

"Hey! Shut up. You might scare the animals". It was the girl. Speak of the devil.

"You!" Mia sneered at her, poking her head out in the gaps of the bars.

Now that they weren't in the dimness of the forest and the bright sun was shining directly at them, Mia could see her more clearly, especially her clothes.

she wore a military ensemble featuring a camouflage jacket with multiple pockets, a bulletproof vest, and a scarf around the neck. It includes cargo pants with knee pads and a holster on the left thigh, paired with sturdy, dust-covered boots. The gear also comprises pouches for equipment, a radio communication device, and an assault rifle slung on the back,

Seeing the gun behind her back, Mia began to worry just exactly what she used those for.

"What are you going to do to me?! Where's Mylo?. Let me go!". She demanded answers but the girl just sighed.

"Calm down. You're fine and no, we can't let you go" she said

"Why!?" Mia shouted and the girl just rolled her eyes. "Because we don't know who you are or what you want. You could be a hunter or worse, a diseased"

"Well, I'm neither. I'm not a hunter and certainly not diseased. I'm perfectly healthy" Mia argued making the girl roll her eyes again

"I didn't say you're diseased. I said you're diseased" She clarified but Mia was still confused, trying to figure out what's the difference.
