Chapter 26 Not a hero, Just a promise

Now Sol's at 67kg, Raven asked Sol back to Jenkins on continues, now none is his IQ. Raven's conditions were, Monday off school to do volunteer and any class study that he had already studied, he would go to Raven for personal studies and combat training being off limits for now, would go to help the engineering department.
Sol's days are spent like this, volunteering, having coffee with strangers, with Raven or at Jenkins, but allways helping or leaning how to help more in the future.
The day's pass to weeks, Sol is spending down time with his friends in the dorms, on the sofas talking to Roma and Kerry,
Roma asks
"Sol how you doing?"
Sol smirks saying
"Good baby, real good, I'm doing an online course.."
But gets cut off by Kerry
"What the hell, I now your way smart, but you already do so much, and now more!"
Roma node's
"Yah, Coop was saying if you send him out for milk, he'll be back in 2 hours, because someone wants to talk!"
Kerry looked to Sol dumbfounded
"What the!, people can't use you for free"
Sol huff said with a flat tone
"Why not, I'm not qualified yet, and even then, I'm not saying no, for some bullshit like money"
Kerry snots saying smugly
"Easy to say when you have some!"
Sol rolls his eyes saying
"Yes I have money, but what do I buy if I can't walk with humanity, hmm"
Roma smiled softly
"Oh man, you to smart"
Sol's phone start ringing, not a number he nows, turning to his friends
"Got take this"
And awaser
"Hello love I don't kno••ok••yes•fuck••ok hide•yes••love I'm coming"
As this mysterious phone call happens, Sol gets up fast, putting his shoes on and out the door, Roma try going after him, but he's on his bike riding fast, no jacket, no helmet, so he calls Keller for help.
"Sage I'm worried•no Sol••yeh••got on his bike, no helmet•yeh•don't know••he taken a phone call••ok bye"
Kerry stands next to him asking
"What happen"
Roma looks to where Sol disappeared saying
"I don't now, Sage said he's handling it"
Kerry node's wrapping an arm around Roma and guided him back inside.
With Sol, he was driving fast, dangerous fast and only in a deep v tshirt and jeans, but there was no time.
The phone call was from a woman, an Un-Della, she called police but got told
"your Un-Della, just hide, the villain will leave"
And hung up, so she call Sol, she is beyond desperate, they were in an Un-Della part of town on the edge, 35 minute drive that Sol is now doing in 10 minutes flat.
A villain attack, that's what she told Sol, she wasn't the only Un-Della, it was discord and the villain wasn't leaving.
As Sol approaches the sene there's broken pavement, bent street lamps and people scared, running or hiding.
He slows as boy comes running out onto the street trembling, when Sol slowdown next to the boy, the boy said
"Your Sol!...I'm Un-Della..w.wwould.."
He got no further with that as Sol talked
"Hay, no time you ok"
Boy node's and Sol continues
"Good, get off the street, tell the same to others, I'm here, now go, "
The boy let's a tear roll down his face and point down the side street, saying
"He's near the shop, the villain,
Wracking Ball"
Sol smirks
"Thanks kid"
Wrecking Ball was a low rank villain, big, dumb and strong, his Della made his skin tough, so he was good a dection.
Sol reved his bike and took off speeding around the corner and there he was, Wracking Ball.
Not slowing, Sol heads straight for him, inches away Sol slams the front brakes, swing the back end of his bike straight at Wrecking Ball, not wasting a moment while the dazed villain just stand there, Sol let's an onslaught of punches with compassion Della hit seconds after his punches, now the villain is bloody and out of breath. Wrecking Ball swinging at Sol and missed, he keeps trying but Sol's fast and dodges, apartly Wracking Ball has had enough, hitting Sol with a steel manhole cover, Sol lifted his left arm up, turning his body with his Della to try and shield from the attack. But Sol hearing a disasnetd 'pop' and 'crack', his left shoulder now dislocated, his head got hit and is bleeding, there's also a sharp pain in his arm, probably broken. Sol has no time to think, Wrecking Ball has a hostage, Villain speaks, if you could call it that
"Giv' up, ya' nah herwo!"
Sol payed no attention, moving fast, sliding to the villains knees, In one swift punch to his right sheen, putting his comption Della behind it, shattering the bone, as Wrecking Ball starts to ungrateful fall, Sol round house kicks him into a dumpsta. The villain now unconscious, Sol stumbling a little but someone hold him up, a lady in a suit asking
"You need to sit, We've been recording, is there anything we can do?"
Sol out of breath replies softly
"Yeh I'll pay you.. but I need..2 rule, tape and water. ..if you can find a medical kit bring it"
Lady nodded
"Ok"
And runs off to the store, coming back a moment later, Sol now sitting with the hostage from before, a 12 year Un-Della boy.
The lady knees next to Sol saying
"Here you go, the two guys run the shop say no charge, oh sorry I'm Jojo."
The lady hands over what Sol asked for saying
"They have a medical bag for you to, anything else?"
Sol simply asks
"Poor water in my hands love"
Jojo dose as asked, Sol washed the blood from his face and tape it.
Then with the rules make a splint for his arm and go's to get up but Jojo said
"Ha, I don't think you should.."
But gets cut off by Sol simply saying
"There's others"
And walks off to a crying lady on her knees and asks
"Hay darling you ok?"
She looks up only wisperd
"Un-Della"
Sol chuckles saying
"Zero shits, your face, did you get hit?"
The lady paused then asked
"Your Sol an't you?"
Sol node's and she continues
"Just some of the rubble nearly hit me and I fell over"
Sol check all the things he needed, put on a patch to the graz on her check, Sol then said
"You ok baby, just maybe lay down and rest tonight, hmm"
Lady node's and said
"Thank you Sol "
And he moves on to the next few, minor cut and bumps, till there's an almighty screem is heard out of a shop/house thats bearly stands, a man come running out screaming
"THE FLOOR COLLAPSE, MY BABY, MY WIFE THEY FELL, PLEASE WERE UN-"
Sol doesn't wait, moving forward and scaring what's left of house wall with his Della, looking over to see where they are, the man's last word being
"Kiya"
The woman is awake but frozen in fear, the baby is silent, Sol asks
"Hay kiya don't move, but can you hear me"
Kiya
"Yes, ...but I'm.."
Sol interjects
"No buts darling, I'm Sol, hows the baby, do you know?"
The lady only crys in response, so Sol continues
"OK you got a kid so you must know sex light right?"
Kiya
"Ye...h, green good, yellow...slow, red st.. op"
Sol softly cooes
"Good Kiya, so great darling. I'm coming in ok, don't move, just use your light, ok?!"
Kiya
"Ok"
Sol slowly climbed down, very carefully stepping till the Kiya spoke
"Yellow"
Sol
"Ok darling, I'm almost there, I'm I good?"
Kiya takes a moment before saying
"Green"
Sol now next to them carefully looks over them, then the baby.
"Kiya darling I need to take the baby, your husband on the other side. I promise I'll be right back."
Kiya
"OK, just help please"
Sol curfewly picking up the baby, only to find she's sound asleep. Sol chuckles turning to kiya saying
"Shit you got one hell of a kid, she sleeping. I'll still check her over, I'll be back."
Sol curfewly climbed the wall and
down again. Kneeling and putting the baby down carefully, dose a once over and she's fine, Sol turning to the father saying
"Your baby fine, I'm working with kiya still, I'll let you know"
He scaled the wall once more, sitting and taking a moment, he needs thing that an't available to him, then he sees the un-believable, a meddi van.
The meddi vans are when villains attack,  there a converted tour bus, full of medical equipment, 6 beds and enough seats for 6 member crue, pluses two hero's.
But they are only for the community, as in Della, not the Un-Della community.
The meddi bus comes to a stop and out steps Crimson. Mixed red hair in a bob with pink eyes, her Della is healing, she work on fild or in crisis situations, to say she had a shot fuse, would say she had one to begin with, as she steps forward looking around and looking eyes with Sol asks
"Your Sol Jackson!, this shits been aired. sorry would be sooner, But god dam red tape"
Sihying and shakes her head asking
"What can we do"
Sol giving her his full attention
"2 broken fingers, 3 concoction, some grazes, kid got brused up, baby and her mother fell down here, baby fine, women is still here. I need your Della."
Crimson looks at the remaining 11ft brick souround wall that was a shop saying
"OK kid but I don't fly!"
Sol rolls his eyes saying
"Just get your ass here now!"
Crimson walks over saying
"Someone wore there pissy panties today didn't they!"
Sol
"Well I hope you wore your big girl panties!"
Chuckles and continues
"Image there's a here"
Points just infront of the wall
"Step and jump there and turn your body the other way, but lean towards me, ok?"
Crimson node's, with a little run up, jumps and turns. Sol puts his Della under her foot and pop's her up, with his right arm pulls Crimson to him. She swings a leg over and said
"Let me fix that"
And jesters to Sol's arm, his only reply
"Dont waste your engine, lets get you down"
Sol pulls her close again and jumps down with Crimson in his arms. Sol then turns his attention to kiya, saying
"OK darling see I'm back, remember the lights?"
Kiya
"Yeh, Sol"
Sol
"OK I brought a friend, Crimson. This is Kiya."
Kiya
"Oh hello"
Crimson
"Hello you in any pain"
Kiya is silent so Sol talks
"Ok darling you doing wonderful, almost there"
Kiya
"Red"
Sol
"You ok darling"
Kiya
"I'm cold"
Sol
"Are you tingling or just cold?"
Kiya takes a moment and replies
"Just cold"
Sol
"OK, what's your colour"
Kiya
"Green"
Sol now next to kiya with Crimson by his side. Sol asks
"OK darling can you feel your fingers and toes?"
Kiya
"Yeh, my shoulder sore maybe my neak"
Sol
"OK darling I'm going to leave yo.."
Kiya yelled
"RED"
Sol
"Darling I'm right here, ok"
Kiya hmms and Sol continues
"Can I touch you"
Kiya only humms, Sol start pressing on her abdominal and asks
"Any pain, discomfort anything?"
Kiya
"No nothing I wont to get up Sol"
Sol puts a finger on her four head saying
"No yet, slowly roll on your side, feel anything stop, what's your colour?"
Kiya
"Green"
And she slowly rolls over, Sol leans forward and looks, brused. Moving her hair and asking
"OK darling how's that any pain?"
Kiya hmms and replies
"Sore yes but more like I went on a long jog"
Sol snots saying
"You know why?"
Kiya softly said
"No, why Sol"
Sol smirks saying
"Because you landed in an futon shop"
All three giggles as Sol looks to Crimson, she node's and Sol continues
"OK I'm taking you to a real doctor, put your arm around my neck I'm currying you"
Kiya
"OK, but I'm"
Sol wavering a hand said
"So brain damage,  because I remember saying no but's, hmm"
Sol leaning forward scooping up kiya with his one good arm, letting the other hand and standing, Crimson interjects
"Sol you ingenuity.."
Now Sol interjects
"Were leaving"
And just like that Sol once more scales the wall and back down, only to see Keller, Sol smirks saying
"I left some luggage on the other side, mind picking it up?"
Crimson is heard next
"Watch your dam mouth, I can hear you"
Keller shakes his head saying
"Sounds like you need to divorce your luggage Sol!"
But Keller dose move forward to get Crimson.
Sol walks over to the meddi bus asking
"I need help"
Medical guy
"I'm Roy, how are you standing?, please may I look you over?
Sol chuckles with a snot saying
"Yeh Kiya needs you, she seems fine, but she fell through the floor with her baby, it was a futon shop. Left shoulder and neck are sore, serve bruse to the upper area, pulse is stable"
Roy worrying asking
"And what about you?
Sol huffing said
"If this is an Un-Della thing.."
Roy gasps saying firmly
"No! it's a black and blue thing kid! Fine, kiya may I take you, we're here for the Un-Della"
Kiya
"..ok"
Sol gently hands her over and turns to fine Kella, but hears him saying
"Sol fucking lay down before I put you down!"
Sol try's whining
"There's st..."
Sol gets no further as Keller demands
"Meddi.bus.now!"
Crimson asked
"I could heal you"
Sol shys nowing he looked terrible, his usual fair skin littered in a rainbow of scraps, bruse and blood, His left swollen bluish arm, his rib tattoo would be unreadable among others, saying softly
"No huney, the arm broken by a Della, the ribs as well, possibly a creaked collar bone, dislocated should, breathing is low, some grazes, bruse, a leave 3 contain and my head needs stickers."
Medical guy 2
"What the hell! Ok lay down for.."
Sol interjects
"Fuck off, you an't that hot"
And go's to walk off but Keller said
"Sol, two options!"
Sol sihying sits down where he was standing putting his good hand up in a surrender saying
"There's still people to check, there's apartment content to the collapse one, and I'm sure being Un-Della some have just gone home, no idea on there conditions, we need to check now"
Medical guy 2
"We've been assisting people, but not many won't help."
Keller only looking at Sol saying
"You have brain damage, so I'm going to talk slow,   M e d d i  b u s "
Sol flips him off, Keller chuckles saying
"Love you to"
Taking a moment to kiss the top of his head, Sol hmms and wisperd
"Love you"
Keller turning to the medical crew pointing and saying
"Right you four take a building each, say your here on Sol's behalf, apartments and shops. You there fix my son, if he's a shit, knock him out, any means. Crimson your with me, we're taking the fucked building, move"
One of the medical people walks over to Sol, the guy from before ask
"Hay I'm Gab, now we need to get you on the bus. I'm guessing you doing that by yourself as well?"
Sol chuckles relies
"If I piss off papa,  this"
Jestering to himself
"Will be Disneyland, you officley have a complaint patient"
Gab claps his hand together with a bright smile saying
"Great, because I watched your fight, your scarry, I was just going to trancalis you!"
Both chuckles as Gab helps Sol on the bus and to a bed, gently asking
"We need your clothing off, I got a hospital pyjamas for yoy"
Sol hmms simply saying
"Boxers is fine"
Gab slowly and carefully taking what little clothes Sol has, only stopping when his legs are on display, Sol grunts and gab breaks from his trance saying
"Sorry, I watch your video, but dam"
Sol now laying down Gab hooked up the breathing mask and monitor sol said sofly
"Feels like a different life now"
Gab shakes his head as he finished closing sols cut head and said
"Your a remarkable person Sol,
how's the pain?"
Sol quality said
"Pain tells you your alive and I'm very alive"
Gab giggles saying
"Pain medication then, take as you see fit"
Gab gets a portable bone scanner and continues
"Looks like clean brakes, hmm.
Yep ok no internal issues, let's cast the arm and bound the ribs"
After Gab wrapped his ribs and cast his arm, when Keller comes in asking
"How are you"
Sol swings his legs out of the bed, sitting up, lifted his cast arm and continues
"The people papa"
Keller chuckles and shakes his head saying
"Your with us"
And jebed a thumb at the door and continues
"After, your in a close caski till I say"
Sol nods going to put his pants back on but Max dash over doing it for him, Sol wisperd out
"Thanks Dad"
Gab stand while Max dressed Sol, turns to Keller said sternly
"He can't be moving, his condition isn't.."
Keller cuts him off
"His dad will carry him, and this will be easier in the long ran"
Sol pants back on and not worried about the top, Cooper coos softly
"Oh little J, my sweet, come here"
Sol unclipped the monitor and said
"My left side got fuck dad"
Cooper gently sweeping a stray hair behind his ear saying
"My baby looks like a chew toy"
Sol leans his right side on his Dad's chest and nods, Cooper scoops him up, out the bus and towards one of the building, Kella starts talking
"The cop that started this is fired, and I'm sued the Jing cop station for damages to my son!"
Sol breath out saying sofly
"Papa really, this is why I said I would come, not the station fault, the people Papa, what happening,"
Keller rubbing his temple wonted to ague with Sol but answer his concerns
"So the medical team have look at most, found one with a fraction wrist, a couple of scard kids and then this. There's a man in this apartment,  he's barricade his injury daughter inside. That's all we know, the more we push, the less resonpon we get."
Sol hmms now there infront of the blocked apartment, one of medical team comes saying
"Hello I'm May, your Sol, should you.."
Sol cuts here off saying
"Dad put me down by the door"
Cooper very carefully puts Sol down, but doses step aside. Sol knocking on door with his foot said
"Hey it's Sol, can I help "
The man inside yelling back
"YOUR NOT HIM, MY DAUGHTER UN-DELLA YOU DO SHIT FOR US"
Sol takes a breath and then loses his shit at the door banning on the door with his foot yelling
"HAY FUCKHAT!
I CAME HERE TO HELP, DID A 35 MINUTE DRIVE IN 10 MINUTES TO HELP!!
YOU HAVE IN TILL THE COUNT OF 4.
THEN IM FUCKING THIS DOOR UP!!"
A moment of silence as Sol leans back into Max, then movement, and the door creaks opened. A man appeared in the creak saying
"You look like shit"
Sol stands chuckles and relies
"So do you, I'm coming in"
Sol don't wait a second as he bagers his way in asking
"What's her condition?"
The father
"Dee she not awake um, she..got hit ah.. by that guy"
Sol walks over to the sofa were she's laying, turns then asked
"Wait the villain hit her?"
The man nodded, Sol Kneeling beside the girl only to find her barely breathing, looking over Dee, Sol starts yelling
"PIRCED LOUNGE, MEDICAL NOW
NEED EVAC!"
Sol start blowing air into her, as May comes over fast contending vital monitor and a breathing pump. Sol takes over on the hand breathing pump, Gab comes in and Sol said
"Punched laung, take her, I'm paying her medical, anything she needs and the others"
Gab nodded and takes over, soon taken the girl out, Max walked over to Sol asking softly
"How about we do a walk around and go home before papa sues Japan all together?"
Sol giggles and go's to walk off till Max stops him, gently lifting his chin so they are eye to eye saying
"Just because I don't look like I wont to hold so many acceptable, your out of breath and barely standing, I'm not letting you out of my sites, not like before, you won't lift a finger without my permission"
Sol let's a tear roll down his cheek before carfly snuggled into his Dad's broad chest saying only as a wisper
"OK, let's sit on the bench out front, just because there dumb, they ant usless, mostly"
And with that said Max scoops Sol up carfly, heading to the bench as Sage walk around making sure Sol wasn't need. Sol at some point must of fallen asleep because he awake to Max softly saying
"Sol, Sol, Everything been looked after, even Dune and Renew came and fix something, so go back to sleep dad has you"
Sol doesn't retest the idea slowly falling back into a deep sleep, comfortable and safe in his Dad's care.
