Chapter 4 This is life as I know it

This was Sol new life, he had no complaints, after all he was the one to kill his own father, and  incarged to think this way by his mother, guilt ate Sol alive like a parasite and love dissolving over nigh, now long forgotten the word, long forgotten the feeling.
After the yelling and insult turned to beatings, or 'lessons' as Sol mother put it.
"If you weren't so week why are you on the floor crying like a bitch.
Stop your crying, I only need to do this because your week.
Can't handle it, huh, well, week shit!
You should rethink being a hero, you week Sol, couldn't even save your own da."
Of course Sol was on the floor cry, because without warning his mother just broke a beer bottle over a then 8 year old sol's head. Beat the week out, be silent and your lessons would be shorter, they were the top lessons.
His mother's 'lessons' had now at 9 year old moved on to chaining Sol in the basement, while still beating and yelling.
Now at 10 year old Sol had now reached to cutting himself, carving words all on his legs, his mother new about this and found it entertaining. Sol himself had even gone as fare as to started bullying his best friend, Davi Monroe after finding out he is Un-Della.
Welp Sol took it that he need a 'lessons', Davi can't survive on his own if he's week, but there was no excuse, Davi was sweet, happy and loved with a beautiful caring mother.
There was always more to Sol's lessons to Davi, sadly Sol didn't really fathom the wrong he was doing till he told Davi
"go kill yourself"
which in honest truth was what Sol wonted for himself, not poor Davi, never.
At age 14 Sol Jackson should be the happiest kid the day he got the letter that he got into Jenkins High, or Jenk's with the kids.
His dream school, for his dream job,.....
To be a hero.
But was it his happiness day, in reality Sol stop knowing what 'happy' was a long time ago, among most emotions and feelings.
His dreams brought him pain.
His dream school, brought him to be bloody and chained in the basement.
What was happy, this was his life, a long time ago Sol knew such things as 'happy' and 'love', but that was before his father's death, that he blames him self for and his mother holds him to that belief, he is a murder, that's just fact in the Jackson's house.
