"Earl! I just got off the phone with Ronnie and she still hasn't seen her." Valerie said, with a worried tone. She was pacing back and forth in her new kitchen in Atlanta. Valerie was beyond stressed, she was on the verge on plastering Brady's pictures on milk cartons.
"We can't just sit around her, we gotta find her. I don't know why she hasn't called us?"

Earl, who was sitting at the island drinking whiskey, placed his hands around her waist to stop her. He brought her close to him as he tried to calm her.

"Honey, we will find out where she is and bring her home—"

"Maybe we should go back there. Can you get your people to get us a flight to California?" She frantically asked, knowing
Earl had many connections.

Although he laid low for the time he lived in California, Earl was a fairly wealthy man. Due to his long-time drug dealing and importing coke in and out of the country for years. He was an OG gangster and was not to be played with in any way.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Earl got much respect in his hometown streets, many feared him.
California was simply just one of the many places Earl ran his drugs through. He didn't plan to live there.

But once his friend's mother, Mrs.Beatty had requested him to be sent to Valerie's house, he had found a reason to stay a little longer.
Landscaping was simply just a hobby for him, but it became his front for a while.

"Let me call my buddy Johnson at American Airlines and see if he can get us the first flight out. In the meantime baby, relax-"

"I can't relax Earl! Okay, I cannot relax until I know she is completely safe and sound!" She fussed, taking a deep breath, "Get us on the bird pronto, I'm going to go pack..."

Earl nodded as Valerie walked up the marble steps. When it came to his wife he knew better than to drag his feet, so he immediately dialed his phone and scored a first-class flight to Oakland.

"Damn. Girl that's tough." Monique said sympathetically. She placed a comforting hand on B's back.

Both were seated at Monique's favorite Chinese spot in San Francisco. Brady had just filled Monique in on her entire situation.

Tears pooled her eyes as she tried her hardest to stay strong like her father taught her. But her world was completely rocked. Not only had she lost her protector, but she also lost the man she looked up to...her dad. Brady never experienced a loss so tough before. Even the absence of her mother didn't affect her as heavily, she couldn't miss what she didn't see.
