When y/n woke up on the morning of the twenty third of October, she didn't go to training. She was meeting with Shoko today. Plus, Utahime was in town, and since she wanted to visit Shoko anyway, the three of them just wanted to meet up.

Nevertheless, she went into the breakfast room, where Takuma and Gojo were already sitting together at one of the low tables. Takuma invitingly patted the place next to him when he saw her. The boy had recovered well from his injuries after the battle with his first curse. But y/n shook her head and stayed standing. "I'm going straight to Shoko."

"Huh? Why?", Takuma wanted to know. Gojo didn't even look up from his breakfast. "Because, hurray hurray, it's her birthday."

"Really?", Takuma jumped up and hugged her. "Happy birthday!"

"Thank you." Y/n returned the hug with a laugh. Then she talked back to Gojo. "Don't be bitchy. It'll be your turn soon too."

"I'm not bitchy," Gojo argued. "But the curses don't stop to celebrate birthdays either."

"I don't care, Utahime won't be in town for long," y/n explained, to which Gojo laughed contemptuously. "You don't even know Utahime."

"Yes I do," y/n said. "Back when you got the curse out of me, she was very nice."

"She's weak," Gojo spat, sipping his tea. He probably had another handful of sugar cubes dissolved in it.

Now y/n sternly put her hands on her hips. "That has absolutely nothing to do with my birthday or the fact that I think she's nice. So I'll just go now."

Y/n saw that Gojo had some provocations on the tip of his tongue. But then he just sighed and stood up too. Like Takuma before, he hugged her. "Happy birthday and... have fun."

"Thank you," y/n said and grinned widely, then she left. Yaga had provided her with a driver to take her into town. Shoko and Utahime were already waiting. Y/n wasn't mistaken, Utahime was really nice , so the three of them had a lot of fun. They sat in cafes, shopped for clothes, and took lots of photos. When the evening came, they made themselves comfortable in a restaurant where they wanted to end the day.

Just as they sat down, a message flashed on y/n's phone. Takuma wanted to know when she would be back. So she wrote to him that the three of them wanted to eat something, so it would probably get late.

As she put her phone down again, she saw Shoko giving her a questioning look. "Saturo?"

"Gojo?", Utahime wanted to know and made a disapproving face. "Ah right, he's your teacher. I feel so sorry for you."

Y/n and Shoko had to laugh at that, but then y/n shook her head. "Not Gojo, Takuma."

"Oh the little one I had to patch up the other day? Is he feeling better?", Shoko asked. Y/n nodded. "Yes, you really are the best."

Shoko waved them off, but Utahime nodded. "Y/n is right, you're the best."

"Now stop, it's y/n's birthday," Shoko countered. Now Utahime nodded again. "True. Then let's order something to drink and start celebrating."

"That's how I like it!", y/n laughed. Then they followed Utahime's suggestion and ordered a few drinks first. When they were already in a pretty good mood, they also ordered something to eat. But the food came to the table at the same time with two other guests.

"Hello, party people," a loud voice ranged through the room. Shoko jumped up enthusiastically. "Saturo! And little Takuma."

"Great," Utahime groaned into her glass as the two sat down next to them. Gojo next to y/n, Takuma between Shoko and Utahime.
